Day 3 of Event #39 $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha 6-Handed at the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has come to an end which saw the field reduced from 16 players down to the final table of six players. Israel's Leonid Yanovski is still the chip leader with 8,700,000 chips which will be good for 145 big blinds. Yanovski's gained most of the chips when he eliminated Amirhossein Shayesteh in seventh for a huge pot to keep him on course to win the top prize of $371,358 and the gold bracelet.

Close on Yanovski's heals is Fabian Brandes, who finished second in Event #19 $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed for $907,132. Brandes will look to better his recent result and take down his first WSOP bracelet.

Amirhossein Shayesteh Eliminated in 7th Place ($40,878)

Niveau 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Amirhossein Shayesteh
Amirhossein Shayesteh

Action was picked up on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} in a pot of roughly 400,000. Leonid Yanovski bet 125,000 and Amirhossein Shayesteh potted to roughly 900,000. Yanovski announced pot and Shayesteh called for his remaining stack of nearly 1,100,000.

Amirhossein Shayesteh: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Leonid Yanovski: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

Aces were in good shape but would need to dodge the kings and straight draw of Yanovski. When the {2-Spades} turn hit it sealed the fate of Shayesteh cracking his aces. The inconsequential {9-Hearts} completed the board and it was the end of the road for Shayesteh in 7th place.

On the button, Jamey Hendrickson raised pot for 210,000 and Grzegorz Derkowski didn't take long from the big blind to announce all in. Hendrickson paid with a lower stack and they revealed their cards.

Jamey Hendrickson: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}
Grzegorz Derkowski: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Derkowski had the dominating hand, and found two pair on a board {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} to rack the pot and bust Hendrickson in 8th place of the tournament.

Fabian Brandes: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Brandes out flopped the aces of Francisco with trip tens. The turn {3-Clubs} and river {k-Diamonds} did not help to improve Francisco and he was eliminated in 11th place.

Andrei Mitsiuk raised on the button to 175,000, with a total stack around 570,000 and Leonid Yanovski, in the small blind, thought about his move for a minute before raising it to 350,000. Mitsiuk announced all in and Yanovski snap-called for the following shodown:

Andrei Mitsiuk: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Leonid Yanovski: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

Mitsiuk had good hopes for a double up but the board ran out {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, improving Yanovski's hand into the full house to eliminate Mitsiuk in 12th place.

Jason Stockfish raised on the button and Fabian Brandes decided to make it to 380,000 in the small blind. It came back to Stockfish who ended up calling.

All the chips went in the middle on a flop {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Brandes checked to Stockfish who potted for 795,000. Brandes responded by a shove, putting Stockfish at risk for a remaining stack around 1,000,000 and the latter snap-called:

Jason Stockfish: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Fabian Brandes: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The {7-Hearts} hit the turn, giving the nut flush to Brandes and the {7-Clubs} completed the board, ending Stockfish's run in 13th place for $18,494.

Action was picked up in a pot of roughly 300,000 on a board of {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Sean Winter checked from the small blind and Andriy Lyubovetskiy bet 225,000 in the cutoff. Winter made the call.

The river came the {10-Clubs} and again Winter checked his option. Lyubovetskiy announced pot for 780,000 and without much thought Winter flicked in the chips for a call.

Lyubovetskiy rolled over {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a set of eights and the key ace of diamonds blocker. Winter turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the king-high flush, good enough to scoop the huge pot and increase his big stack.

Jason DeWitt raised to 75,000 on the button and faced a three-bet worth 250,000 from Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the small blind, putting Dewitt to a decision with a total stack of 470,000. After some time, Dewitt announced "all in" and Jachtmann snap-called for the following showdown:

Jason DeWitt: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}
Jan-Peter Jachtmann: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}
