Arieh Gets Short After Paying Off Schreiber

Niveau 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Heads-up to the {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, Josh Arieh checked out of the big blind and then called a bet worth 10,000 by Matthew Schreiber in the big blind. Both checked the {9-Spades} on the turn and Arieh also checked the {8-Diamonds} on the river.

Schreiber then bet 25,000 and that sent Arieh deep into the tank. The call followed and the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a jack-high straight by Schreiber was good enough to win the pot.

Urgently Needed Pot for Gorodinsky

Niveau 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Ismael Bojang: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Mike Gorodinsky: {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

On sixth street, Mike Gorodinsky and Ismael Bojang had 20,000 invested already with the main pot pulled in. Gorodinsky bet and Bojang called. The same action repeated on seventh street, albeit very reluctantly in the case of the Vienna resident Bojang.

Gorodinsky tabled {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a low and a flush to scoop it all, securing an urgently needed pot as the far shortest stack on the table.

Brewer called. The flop was {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Sammartino bet 15,000. Brewer called. The turn {k-Hearts} saw Sammartino bet 40,000 and again Brewer called.

The river was the {q-Diamonds}. Both players checked and Brewer won the hand with {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top pair.

"Hand of the Tournament" Sees Bellande Double

Niveau 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jean-Robert Bellande
Jean-Robert Bellande

No-Limit Hold'em

According to Michael Mizrachi, the "hand of the tournament" just played out between Jean-Robert Bellande and Matthew Gonzales.

Apparently, Bellande opened to 7,000 on the button and Gonzales moved all in for around 400,000 from the big blind. Bellande called for around half that amount.

"Did you say call?" said Gonzales in disbelief as the cards were turned over.

Jean-Robert Bellande: {a-}{10-}
Matthew Gonzales: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-}{j-}{5-}{2-}{5-} with Bellande's ace playing and he doubled up.

Note: Bellande's hand was initially reported to PokerNews as being ace-five offsuit. This was incorrect and has been changed. Positions and bet sizings remain correct.

Aldemir Pips Fraser in 2-7

Niveau 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Alex Livingston raised in the cutoff and was called by all three players behind in Chris Fraser, Koray Aldemir and Shaun Deeb. Livingston as the initial raiser took three while his opponents all took two new cards.

It checked to Fraser who bet and was called by everyone. Fraser then patted against three players who all required two new cards. Once more, they checked to Fraser and his bet was only called by Aldemir this time.

On the final draw, Aldemir discarded one while Fraser patted. Aldemir check-called a bet and had one notch better with his {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} as Fraser only tabled {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} for an eighty-seven.

Niveau 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

On a {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Spades} flop Dan Cates bet and Julien Martini called. The pair checked the {5-Diamonds} turn and the river was the {5-Clubs}.

Cates bet and Martini raised. "You raised?" said Cates before folding.

"Was that the run-out?" an astounded Mike Noori asked as Martini raked in the pot to move above 650,000.

Dan Zack bet on fifth and sixth street with opponent Talal Shakerchi calling both times. Both players checked seventh street.

"Jacks," said Zack.

"Jacks and twos," replied Shakerchi showing {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} and winning the pot.

Brewer Hits a Wheel; Prociak Next to Fall in 2-7 Triple Draw

Niveau 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
David Prociak
David Prociak

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Andrew Kelsall raised and Chad Eveslage three-bet, Chris Brewer then four-bet on the button. With some 15,000 behind and in the small blind, David Prociak tanked for a short while and folded while Kelsall and Eveslage called.

Kelsall took two on the first draw while his opponents took one new card each. Kelsall checked, Eveslage bet and received two calls.

The second drawing round resulted in one new card for Kelsall while Eveslage and Brewer both patted. Kelsall checked once more, Eveslage bet and Brewer raised, which was called only by Eveslage.

Both remaining players patted on the final draw and Eveslage check-folded to a bet as he was shown the wheel.

Two hands later Prociak was in the cutoff and moved all-in for exactly 10,000 to get called by Eveslage in the big blind. Eveslage took three new cards and Prociak two, the former then patted the remaining two draws while Prociak took two cards on both occassions.

Eveslage turned over the {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and the {7-}{6-}{3-} sweat by Prociak instantly ended when he paired his six.
