Lewis Doubles Through Zerkal

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Toby Lewis
Toby Lewis

Toby Lewis raised it up and then called all-in for 225,000 when Lev Zerkal piled in his shorter stack.

Toby Lewis: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Lev Zerkal: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and the superior pocket pair held up or Lewis to double.

"Chip and a chair," he grinned and some players at the table immediately asked "is the guy with the one chip still in?" David Coleman certainly is and has slightly more chips than Lewis.

Rawtani Picks Off Lankinen

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After Tommi Lankinen in the big blind and Michael Duek in middle position checked a {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop with approximately 300,000 in the pot, Nitesh Rawtani bet 100,000. Only Lankinen called.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and the action was checked through. On the {3-Hearts} river, Lankinen put out a bet of 340,000, and after some deliberation, Rawtani called.

Lankinen showed {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of sevens and a missed straight draw.

Rawtani tabled {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a bluff-catching top pair. Rawtani said as he was gathering the chips that he had hoped it was eight-nine in his opponent's hand. His gutsy call paid off as he raked a healthy pot.

Two Eliminations in Very Quick Succession

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Travis Doran was eliminated by Michael Russell while big pots played on all other tables at the very same time.

Robert Nehorayan tangled with Thair Kallabat as they created a massive pot of more than 1.5 million to the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs} river. Kallabat jammed for what appeared to be around one million and Nehorayan reluctantly folded.

One table over, Michael Duek had raised to 85,000 from under the gun and was called by Tommi Lankinen and Allan Le in the blinds. The flop brought {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Lankinen was the only one to check-call a bet worth 125,000 by Duek to see the {a-Diamonds} on the turn. He checked again and Duek bet the pot to force a fold.

The very next hand on the same table brought the shorter stack of Nicholas Baris into the middle and he was looked up by Duek.

Nicholas Baris: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Michael Duek: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Duek flopped a flush to eliminate Baris next.

Haraldstad Doubles Through Hu

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Joachim Haraldstad
Joachim Haraldstad

The next big pot took place over on table 141 and it was a clash between Tom Hu and Joachim Haraldstad as they got their chips in after the {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop to create the following showdown.

Joachim Haraldstad: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Tom Hu: {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Haraldstad was ahead with the two pair and nut flush draw but had plenty of outs to dodge. The Norwegian did so thanks to the {2-Clubs} turn and {a-Diamonds} river to put a major dent into Hu's big stack.

Duek Over Five Million After Eliminating Wagganer

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Michael Duek
Michael Duek

Michael Duek raised to 90,000 on the button and was called by Michael Wagganer in the big blind.

The {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop was checked through, but on the {3-Hearts} turn, Wagganer bet 125,000, which Duek called.

The river {j-Hearts} saw Wagganer move all in for approximately his last 280,000 and Duek called.

Wagganer tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for two pair, tens and threes. Duek showed {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a rivered jack-high flush to send Wagganer to the rail.

Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

Patrick Leonard raised the pot to 140,000 and Lev Zerkal called all-in for 70,000. Iakov Onuchin then repotted and Leonard called all-in for another 310,000 on top of Zerkal's short stack.

Lev Zerkal: {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Patrick Leonard: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Iakov Onuchin: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Onuchin riverd a set of aces to eliminate both shorter stacks.

Sion More Than Doubles Thanks to Coleman's Fold

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

David Coleman from under the gun and Xunen Zheng in the hijack limped in and Elior Sion then raised the pot to 220,000 on the button. Coleman reluctantly called and Zheng made it three ways to the {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop. It checked to Sion who moved all-in for 135,000 and Coleman tank-folded while Zheng sigh-called.

Elior Sion: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Xunen Zheng: {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The {q-Spades} turn and {k-Spades} river saw Coleman jump out of his seat in disgust as he would have hit a flush while Sion more than doubled and Zheng became one of the shortest stacks.

Duek Eliminates Lankinen; Time for Redraw

Niveau 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Michael Duek
Michael Duek

After Tommi Lankinen three-bet from the small blind to 310,000 after Michael Duek's under the gun open, Duek called to see a flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Lankinen then jammed for roughly 600,000 and was called by Duek.

Tommi Lankinen: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Michael Duek: {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Lankinen's aces would have to fade Duek's wrap and backdoor flush draw, but couldn't as the board came {k-Spades}{10-Spades} to give Duek the flush and send the final 24 players to a three-table redraw.
