Qualifier Durmis Calls River Raise

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Ole Schemion opened to 800 on the button and was called by the hijack, GGPoker Qualifier Sasa Durmis and Craig Turner from the blinds.

Durmis led out for 800 on the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and only Turner called.

Action checked through on the {7-Hearts} turn before Durmis bet 1,200 on the {7-Clubs} river. Turner made it 3,000 and was called. Turner tabled his {a-Clubs}{4-Spades} for an ace-high flush and scooped the pot.

On an adjacent table is Unibet Ambassador Alexandre Reard. The Frenchman placed 16th in the 2017 Main Event and collected a $340,000 payday for the feat.

Reard then won his maiden WSOP bracelet last year after taking down Event #47: Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed for $428,694.

Mackelprang Finds a Fold

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Dragana Mackelprang
Dragana Mackelprang

A player opened to 800 from the cutoff and was called by Dragana Mackelprang out of the small blind. The player in the big blind then three-bet to 2,700. The cutoff folded while Mackelprang called to send the two players to the flop.

Mackelprang checked after the {9-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop and then called when her opponent bet out 2,000.

The {3-Hearts} turn saw Mackelprang check for a second time. The big blind was in no mood to slow down and tossed 5,000 into the middle. That bet was enough to convince Mackelprang to release her hand and in so doing take a small hit to her still big stack.

Levy Cracks Aces and Kings for Triple Up

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Action was picked up after Itai Levy, in the cutoff had moved all in for 13,400. The player in middle position called, before Benjamin Ane, the hijack, put in a raise to around 60,000, enough to put the middle position player all in. That player made the call, and it was a three way showdown.

Itai Levy: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Middle Position: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Benjamin Ane: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Levy was dominated by both of his opponents, and Ane seemed on the precipice of a double knockout and a massive stack. That all changed quickly when the {3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop gave Levy a set to pull ahead of both opponents. The {8-Hearts} turn and {10-Clubs} river changed nobody's hand, and the main pot went to Levy with his set, tripling his stack. The side pot went to Ane, whose aces were still good to beat middle position's kings. That middle position player was promptly sent to the rail, as Levy and Ane stacked their new chips.

Levy shared with PokerNews after the fact that he had lost a pot with a set of aces on the hand right before his triple up.

Mendes Demedeiros Raises it Away on the Flop

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Welker Mendes Demedeiros raised to 800 in middle positon before the hijack called. Robert Minor was in the big blind and three-bet to 3,100, which only Mendes Demedeiros called.

The dealer spread a flop of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Minor continued for 1,700. Mendes Demedeiros pushed out one red chip as he announced a raise to 5,000. Minor took about five seconds before passing his cards to the dealer.

Enriquez Chops It Up

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Steve Enriquez

Action was caught on the {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} flop with four players in the hand.

Joel Micka and PokerStars ambassador Steve Enriquez checked in the blinds which prompted Stanislav Barshak to bet 1,600 from under the gun. A player in middle position mucked and Micka followed suit before Enriquez called.

The {4-Spades} turn checked through to the {9-Hearts} river and Enriquez led for 3,500. Barshak flicked in the call.

Enriquez tabled his {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} for top pair and Barshak exposed his {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for the same hand.

Enriquez has made a good start to the day while his counterpart in the field, Ramon Colillas, has lost over half of his stack.

Colillas finished in 14th place at the 2021 WSOP Main Event and pocketed $380,050 for his deep run.

Spragg's Spidey Sense Goes Off Correctly

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

Action was joined on the turn as the board read {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. From the button, Marle Spragg bet 4,000 into a pot of around 7,000. Stephen Benkovic raised it up to 11,000 from the small blind.

Spragg took a few seconds but folded the {a-Clubs} face up fairly quickly. Benkovic was surprised and showed her that she had correctly sussed it out as he showed the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to get the chips, although probably wishing the pot had been a bit bigger.

Face Off Between Holz and Demidov

Niveau 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Ivan Demidov raised from under the gun to 500 and received a call from Fedor Holz in early position. The rest of the table folded and the dealer spread the flop {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Demidov bet 1,000 and Holz snap called.

On the {6-Clubs} turn, Demidov checked to Holz who bet 3,000. After some time in the tank, Demidov decided to call.

The {5-Diamonds} on the river had Demidov once again checking to Holz who bet 10,500. Demidov went back in to the tank for a few minutes before finally deciding to fold.
