Minor Loses Another, Jorstad Vaults Up the Leaderboard

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

Jimmy Setna opened to 300,000 in the cutoff and Robert Minor three-bet to 1,000,000 on the button. Espen Jorstad was in the small blind and took a minute before moving all in for 6,450,000. Setna quickly folded but Minor decided to call.

Espen Jorstad: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Robert Minor: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Jorstad rose from his seat with his tournament life on the line. The flop of {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} gave Jorstad a set of kings and reduced the sweat. The {4-Diamonds} landed on the turn, leaving Minor drawing dead to the {6-Diamonds} on the river and Jorstad improved to a flush.

Dobric Keeps Chipping Up

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Matija Dobric opened to 300,000 from middle position and was called by Vadim Rozin out of the big blind.

Rozin checked to the preflop raiser after the {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop and then called when Dobric continued for 300,000.

The {9-Diamonds} turn saw Rozin check for a second time and Dobric, unwilling to slow down, fire off 950,000. That bet was enough to convince Rozin to fold and keep Dobric chipping up.

LI Successfully Jams Into Rothschild

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Victor Li
Victor Li

Victor Li raised in the cutoff and was called by David Rothschild out of the big blind. The flop brought {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and with it a check-raise from 300,000 to 800,000 by Rothschild, which Li called. After the {k-Diamonds} turn, Rothschild made it 600,000 to go and received a call.

The duo headed to the {k-Hearts} river on which Rothschild quickly checked. Almost as immediately, the shove by Li followed and Rothschild sighed before shaking his head. Some fifteen seconds passed and the cards of the Frenchman went into the muck.

Attenborough Makes His Kings Work

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Robert Minor raised to 300,000 from under the gun and Adrian Attenborough three-bet to 850,000 in middle position. The action folded back to Minor who called to see a flop of {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Minor checked to Attenborough who continued for 400,000 and Minor called. The {2-Clubs} landed on the turn and Minor checked again. Attenborough put together a bet of 1,750,000 and Minor still called.

The {2-Diamonds} hit the river and Minor led out with a bet of 2,200,000 this time. Attenborough put his hands in the air in disbelief but still flicked in the call. Minor showed {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} but was no good against the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} of Attenborough.

Kunze Shoves the River on Labat

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Antoine Labat raised from early position and Tom Kunze re-raised to 950,000 next to act. Labat put in a four-bet to 2,275,000 and Kunze called to see the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop.

Labat continued for 1,000,000 and Kunze called. Both players checked the {3-Spades} turn.

The river came the {3-Spades} and Labat checked again. Kunze then shoved all in for 5,170,000 and Labat went into the tank, taking a peek over at Kunze before sliding his cards into the muck.

"Did you have it?" Labat asked.

"I can have it," Kunze replied, not giving anything away.

Matthew Shepsky: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Brutal Turn Ends Trevino's Run

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Cedrric Trevino
Cedrric Trevino

Cedrric Trevino raised to 375,000 from early position before Michael Duek re-raised from the hijack to 1,050,000. Trevino came back with a four-bet to 2,500,000 and Duek called.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Trevino immediately shoved all in for around 4,000,000 more. Duek took his time before deciding to call.

Cedrric Trevino: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Michael Duek: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Trevino was ahead and a big favorite to double up until the {j-Spades} on the turn left him needing a two-outer on the river to keep his Main Event hopes alive.

The river came the {7-Clubs} and the "Poker Traveler" was eliminated in brutal fashion.

"Good game. It is what it is. That's going to hurt for awhile," Trevino said before making his exit.

Lijo Escapes From Elimination

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Lander Lijo
Lander Lijo

Lander Lijo pushed all in for the last 1,600,000 from an early position and was called by Tzur Levy from one seat over while the rest of the table got out of the way.

Lander Lijo: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Tzur Levy: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} flop gave Lijo the superior flush draw for more equity. Nothing changed on the {6-Diamonds} turn and it was then the unlikely {a-Clubs} river that kept the Spaniard in contention.

Rothschild Wins Flip Versus Altman

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
David Rothschild
David Rothschild

Joseph Altman opened in the hijack to 400,000 and David Rothschild jammed on the button. Action folded back to Altman who called for 1,025,000 more.

David Rothschild: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Joseph Altman: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Rothschild needed to flip to survive, and the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop put him in great shape. The {5-Hearts} turn and {j-Clubs} river completed the board to confirm his double.

Rebei Puts Setna in a Daze, Escapes with a Chop

Niveau 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Karim Rebei raised it up from early position and Jimmy Setna three-bet from a couple of seats over. The action folded back to Rebei who ripped all in and Setna called off his stack of just under 5,300,000.

Jimmy Setna: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Karim Rebei: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

"This is my tournament baby, watch for the queen," Rebei said. The flop came {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Rebei actually picked up the best of the two flush draws.

"See! I told you this is my tournament!" Rebei kept going as Setna looked to be in a daze. The {9-Spades} on the turn changed nothing but the {3-Diamonds} on the river gave both players a straight, resulting in a chop.

"You shouldv'e seen your face when that flop came!" Rebei pointed out to his opponent. "Next time it's coming."
