Meeks and Labat Chop a Pot

Niveau 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Antoine Labat had raised from under the gun and earned two callers out of the blinds. There wasn't much action on the {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop and the {3-Hearts} turn saw Pierce Mckellar and Jacob Meeks as well as Labat invest 230,000 each. They checked it down on the {5-Clubs} river as Labat checked behind.

Meeks tabled the {j-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a full house and Labat chopped the pot with the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} while Mckellar mucked his cards.

Attenborough Sends Miller Down Under

Niveau 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jordyn Miller in the big blind found himself all in and at risk against Adrian Attenborough on the button.

Jordyn Miller: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Adrian Attenborough: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Miller was in rough shape and would need significant help to survive. The {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop immediately improved his chances as he picked up the nut flush draw with the {j-Clubs} also giving him a two way straight draw. He could find no further help, however, on the board pairing {j-Hearts} river, sending him out of the tournament.

Kojack Pipped by Li

Niveau 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Christopher Kojack had gotten his stack of approximately 1,500,000 in from the button and was at risk against Victor Li in the big blind.

Christopher Kojack: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Victor Li: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The table got louder as a nine appeared in the window, but the dealer fanned the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop to ease the excitement. The {10-Hearts} turn left Kojack drawing dead, and the meaningless {7-Diamonds} completed the board.

Two Bets from Dobric

Niveau 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

David Diaz opened to 210,000 from the hijack and Matija Dobric three-bet to 650,000 on his left. With the action back on Diaz, he called to see a flop of {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

Diaz checked to Dobric who dropped in a bet of 500,000. Diaz called and the {k-Spades} rolled off on the turn. Diaz checked again and Dobric put together a bet of 850,000. That was enough to get the job done as Diaz sent his cards into the muck.

Jorstad Gets a Shove Through

Niveau 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Terence Reid opened the pot for 200,000 before Pierre De Almeida re-raised to 700,000. Action folded around to Espen Jorstad on the button who shoved for around 4,500,000.

Reid quickly folded, but De Almeida went into the tank for several minutes. As he was pondering his decision, the table began filling out bio sheets in preparation for a move to one of the secondary feature tables.

"He's playing Mario Kart," a tablemate said about Karim Rebei.

"He likes Mario, too," Rebei said about Jorstad and the Mario figurine he uses as a card protector, a joke which elicited a smile from the all-in player.

De Almeida eventually folded as Jorstad took in the pot.

Espen Jorstad

Frank Funaro opened to 200,000 from under the gun and Robert Minor just called on the button. Espen Jorstad was in the small blind and shoved all in for 2,160,000. Funaro asked for a count before making the call and Minor opted to fold after a minute.

Espen Jorstad: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Frank Funaro: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

"Fair fight," Jorstad pointed out before the flop of {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} hit the felt. The {4-Clubs} on the turn gave Funaro a straight draw but the {j-Spades} on the river ensured Jorstad of a double up.

Niveau 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Dingxiang Ong raised to 200,000 and Mack Khan shoved his last 1,116,000 from the small blind. Ong called and action was heads up with Khan at risk.

Mack Khan: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Dingxiang Ong: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Schumacher Felted by Taylor

Niveau 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Johan Schumacher
Johan Schumacher

There were two players on neighbouring tables who essentially pushed all-in and kept a single chip behind while on the pay jump. One of them was Johan Schumacher in the cutoff, who had invested 1,550,000 with 5,000 behind. On the button, Andy Taylor pushed all-in to isolate and Schumacher went into the tank.

While glancing over at the other table and even asking if there was an all-in and call, he grabbed his smart phone and typed a few messages in WhatsApp before then calling it off following the double-up of the other player.

Johan Schumacher: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Andy Taylor: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The Brit took the lead on the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop and retained it throughout the {k-Clubs} turn as well as the {5-Spades} river, sending Schumacher to the rail.
