Pupillo continued on the flop and Simao raised. Pupillo three-bet and Simao called to see 7♥ on the turn.
Pupillo bet again and Simao called to see a 3♥ on the river. He bet again and Simao considered the choice with only 24,000 behind. After a few moments of thought, Simao tossed it in and Pupillo showed him A♣K♠ to take the pot with a flopped pair of aces. Simao mucked the losing hand.
Elsewhere in the room, Nate Silver has hit the rail.
Philip Sternheimer raised from the cutoff and was three-bet by Bill Klein on the button. Action folded back to Sternheimer, who made it four bets to go. Klein called.
Klein called a bet from Sternheimer on the Q♣3♣3♠ flop; however, Klein let his hand go facing another bet from Sternheimer on the Q♦ turn.
Yong Wang and Nate Silver were heads-up on a 10♣4♠6♠ flop, where Wang was in middle position and check-called a bet from Silver, who was on the button.
Wong check-called two more bets from Silver — one on the 5♦ turn and another on the 9♦ river.
Silver could only show A♣8♣, which was no good against the K♥10♥ of Wang for top pair.
Brian Lieberman raised from the hijack and was three-bet by Ian Johns on the button. Josh Arieh then four-bet from the small blind and both Lieberman and Johns called.
Arieh continued for a bet on the 4♦3♦3♣ flop and only Johns called.
Both players checked on the 2♦ turn and then Arieh bet when the Q♣ completed the board.
Johns folded after a bit of thought and Arieh took down the sizable pot.
Nozomu Shimizu raised from the button and Ben Yu called from the big blind. The flop was A♦4♦7♦.
Yu check-called a bet from Shimizu and the turn was J♣. Yu check-called again and the river was 5♣.
Shimizu tossed out another bet after Yu checked and turned over the dusty 9♥8♠ when he called. Yu showed 8♦7♣ to take the pot with a pair of sevens.
Action folded around to the blinds, where Ben Yu raised from the small and Mori Eskandani called from the big.
Eskandani called a bet from Yu on the 6♥J♠6♣ flop and then raised a bet from Yu on the Q♠ turn.
Yu thought it over for a bet before letting his hand go.
Joao Simao raised from early position and was called by Kevin Song in the small blind and Daniel Idema in the big.
All three players checked on the Q♠9♠4♥ flop and Song checked to Idema on the 2♥. Idema bet, Simao called and Song folded.
It was checked down on the river and Idema revealed A♦9♣ for a pair of nines. Simao mucked and was left with under 100,000 after the hand.
