The Champ is Back Above Starting Stack

Niveau 5 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river with the board showing 5210J6 and about 140000 in the pot. Micah Raskin checked out of position and Espen Jorstad contemplated his decision, using one time extension chip before making a bet of 70000.

Raskin made the fold and the WSOP 2023 main event champion was awarded a nice pot.

Shakerchi Wins Round 2 With Schindler

Niveau 5 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Talal Shakerchi opened to 10,000 from under the gun and folded to a three-bet from Jake Schindler on the button.

A few hands, the two tangled again and got to the river with the board reading 910827. Shakerchi was first to act and bet 90,000 as Schindler went in the tank and used a time bank. Eventually, Schindler folded.

Elsewhere, Sean Winter was eliminated after failing to spin up his short stack.

Theologis Can't Crack Aces a Second Time

Niveau 5 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Poker Hall of Famer John Hennigan took a seat recently and quickly found himself at risk for a starting stack against Alexandros Theologis, who had him covered.

John Hennigan: AA
Alexandros Theologis: AK

Theologis had run into aces but picked up outs as the flop landed 71010 to give him a flush draw. But the board finished out 5Q and Theologis failed to crack aces after doing so earlier in the tournament.

Brewer Over 1,000,000

Niveau 5 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Justin Bonomo raised to 14,000 from the button and received a call from Chris Brewer in the big blind.

Brewer check-called a 10,000 bet from Bonomo on the 32K flop. The turn and river were both checked and Bonomo showed 1010 which was enough to best Brewer's A8x.

Despite the minor setback Brewer has been building a giant stack and is now sitting at just over one million chips.

Chris Hunichen was seen leaving at another table, having recently bust out.

Isaac Haxton

With action being picked up on the turn and the board shwoing K26J, Event #16: $25,000 High Roller champion Isaac Haaxton bet 85,000. Kristen Foxen pushed forward a stack of green 25,000 chips to put Haaxton all in and Haaxton quickly made the call to put himself at risk.

Isaac Haxton: AA
Kristen Foxen: KQ

Foxen had top pair but was well behind the Haaxton's aces. The 2 on the river changed nothing for either player, and Haaxton received a big double up.

Niveau 6 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu moved all in from the button for his last 80,000 and Vlad Darie made the call from the big blind to put him at risk.

Daniel Negreanu: AJ
Vlad Darie: AK

Negreanu was out-kicked preflop and needed to improve. The board offered no such improvement when it ran out 8Q7Q6 and Darie claimed the rest of Negreanu's chips.

Shortly after this Negreanu was seen re-entering the tournament on his second bullet.
