Arends Doubles Through Bonomo

Niveau 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jans Arends opened on the button and Justin Bonomo in the small blind responded with a three-bet to 700,000. The big blind got out of the way to send the action back to Arends, who chose to ship the remainder of his stack. Bonomo, after some thought, called to put his opponent at risk.

Jans Arends: JJ
Justin Bonomo: A10

Arends was in a good spot to secure a crucial double on the soft bubble and did just that after the board ran out 24987, much to the disappointment of the rest of the field.

Bonomo Puts Foxen to the Test as Bubble Looms

Niveau 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Action was picked up just before the flop was dealt out, with Justin Bonomo having bet from the cutoff and called when Kristen Foxen three-bet.

Bonomo checked the 2JJ flop and Foxen bet 150,000. Bonomo check-raised to 350,000 and Foxen made the call.

The turn came the 9 and Bonomo bet 300,000. Foxen called.

On the A river Bonomo moved all in, covering Foxen who had just under 600,000 behind. Foxen used one time bank while considering her options before opting to fold. Bonomo was awarded a large pot, bringing his stack just past the five million mark.

Morgenstern Survives in Dramatic Fashion

Niveau 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Anton Morgenstern
Anton Morgenstern

Picking up the action after the flop, Micah Raskin in early position was involved in a hand with Anton Morgenstern in the big blind. With the board reading 547 Morgenstern was all in and at risk.

Anton Morgenstern: 44
Micah Raskin: 77

Raskin had Morgenstern on the ropes, needing running clubs or the case four to survive. The K turn left Morgenstern drawing to a single out. With action finished at the two other tables, many players flocked around as the dealer flipped over the 4 to send Raskin leaping out of his seat in frustration while Morgenstern raked in the pot smiling sheepishly.

Raskin Felted by Klein

Niveau 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Bill Klein opened to 90,000 from the cutoff before Micah Raskin moved all in for 395,000 on the button. Once the blinds folded, Klein quickly called to put Raskin at risk.

Micah Raskin: QQ
Bill Klein: AQ

Raskin was in good shape to double up, that is until the flop came A95 to leave him drawing very thin. The 9 turn changed nothing with the J river confirming Raskin's exit short of the money after suffering back to back bad beats.

Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Action was picked up on the 6K2 flop with approximately 180,000 in the middle. Chance Kornuth was heads up against Alex Foxen.

Foxen check-called an 80,000 bet from Kornuth. Both players checked the 7 turn.

The river came the J and Foxen bet 700,000, enough to put Kornuth all in. Kornuth glanced over at the other table to eye the short stacks and used two time extension chips while contemplating his decision. Ultimately he put in the call and was at risk.

Chance Kornuth: AA
Alex Foxen: K2

Kornuth's pocket rockets had gone up in flames against the flopped two pair of Foxen. With his elimination, the money bubble has burst and the remaining 19 players are guaranteed at least a min-cash of $81,983.
