Ausmus Leaves Wang on Fumes

Play resumed after the break and it didn’t take long for a big showdown to happen.

Yang Wang raised to 320,000 on the button, but then had a big decision to make when Jeremy Ausmus went all in out of the big blind for 2,230,000.

Yang went in the tank, using a total of three time bank chips before making the call to put Ausmus at risk.

Jaffe Out to Burst Bubble

Jonathan Jaffe’s chip stack started dwindling as the blinds and antes rose over the past few levels, and he needed something to happen in a hurry.

Jaffe was in the big blind when Ren Lin raised 400,000, and then Jans Arends went all in. Jaffe peeked at his cards and also went all in for his last 1,000,070. Lin got out of the way.

Bonomo Doubles Through Katz

Cary Katz opened to 325,000 on the button and Justin Bonomo shipped all in for 935,000 in the small blind. Katz asked for a rough count before dropping in some chips to call.

The flop came K♥3♠2♣ and Bonomo took a sizeable lead with a pair of kings.

"I'm drawing dead," Katz said after the flop.

"Well, not dead," Bonomo confirmed before the 10♣ landed on the turn, indeed leaving Katz drawing dead to the 4♠ on the river.

Yang Doubles Up

Lin Picks Off a Bluff from Arends

Ren Lin raised to 300,000 on the button and Jans Arends called from the big blind. The flop came Q♦8♣3♣ and Arends check-called a bet of 200,000 from Lin.

The turn was the 10♦ and both players checked to the 9♣ on the river. Arends threw in a bet of 400,000 and Lin snapped him off. Arends tabled A♦2♦ for just ace-high while Lin made a straight with J♠10♣.

"You wanna be the bubble boy?" Lin questioned Arends.

Lin Sends Chidwick to the Rail

After joking he would fold his way to the final table, Ren Lin decided to get involved in the table action.

Jans Arends raised 240,000 in early position, and then Stephen Chidwick moved all in. The action folded to Lin, who was in the big blind. Lin looked at his hand and asked for a count, resulting in the dealer to declare Chidwick was in for 1,085,000. Lin then called to put Chidwick at risk, and Arends folded.

The dealer ran out 5♠7♠J♦, on the flop to keep Lin ahead. The 10♠ appeared on the turn, giving Lin top set but Chidwick suddenly had a gut-shot straight draw. The 5♣ appeared on the river, though, to give Lin the hand and send Chidwick out of the tournament in 16th place, two from the money.

Kornuth Battles with the Big Stack

The 4♠ paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the 4♣ on the river. Kornuth led out with a small bet of 125,000 and Katz was having none of it as he quickly mucked his cards.

Aldemir checked again and Arends tossed in a bet of 350,000. Aldemir still called and the 6♠ landed on the river. Both players tapped the table and Aldemir showed A♥Q♦ for ace-high while Arends held J♥J♣ for a set of jacks.
