Niveau 19 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Play resumed after the break and it didn’t take long for a big showdown to happen.

Yang Wang raised to 320,000 on the button, but then had a big decision to make when Jeremy Ausmus went all in out of the big blind for 2,230,000.

Yang went in the tank, using a total of three time bank chips before making the call to put Ausmus at risk.

Jeremy Ausmus: KQ
Yang Wang: J10

The dealer ran out A7322 to give Ausmus a double up and the hand, which devastated Wang’s stack.

Jonathan Jaffe’s chip stack started dwindling as the blinds and antes rose over the past few levels, and he needed something to happen in a hurry.

Jaffe was in the big blind when Ren Lin raised 400,000, and then Jans Arends went all in. Jaffe peeked at his cards and also went all in for his last 1,000,070. Lin got out of the way.

Yang Doubles Up

Niveau 18 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Jans Arends was on the button and had both players in the blinds covered.

Arends moved all in, which prompted Jonathan Jaffe to fold in the small blind. Yang Wang, though, had other ideas in the big blind and moved all in for his last 1,025,000 to put his tournament life at stake against the bigger stack.

Yang Wang: AK
Arends: Q4

The dealer fanned out 3J6, keeping Wang ahead but he had to dodge spades. The J hit the turn and 2 arrived on the river to give Wang a much-needed double up.

Stephen Chidwick

After joking he would fold his way to the final table, Ren Lin decided to get involved in the table action.

Jans Arends raised 240,000 in early position, and then Stephen Chidwick moved all in. The action folded to Lin, who was in the big blind. Lin looked at his hand and asked for a count, resulting in the dealer to declare Chidwick was in for 1,085,000. Lin then called to put Chidwick at risk, and Arends folded.

Ren Lin: 1010

The dealer ran out 57J, on the flop to keep Lin ahead. The 10 appeared on the turn, giving Lin top set but Chidwick suddenly had a gut-shot straight draw. The 5 appeared on the river, though, to give Lin the hand and send Chidwick out of the tournament in 16th place, two from the money.
