Lin Takes Down Pot, Adds Humor

Niveau 18 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Ren Lin Doubles Through Ausmus Two From Money
Ren Lin Doubles Through Ausmus Two From Money

Jeremy Ausmus and Ren Lin found themselves in a battle of the blinds, and it came with humor and fireworks.

A little back and forth preflop raising will tend to do that.

Ausmus made a bet that bloated the pot before cards were even on the board. Lin said “call” but moved in his entire stack in front of him. The tournament director came over and made the correct ruling of the call standing and instructed the dealer to give Lin back 25,000.

Ausmus and Lin took it in stride – with a few chuckles – and the tournament director instructed the dealer to run out the flop, which saw A109 on the board.

Ausmus checked, but Lin jokingly used a time chip bank before moving all in with his final 25,000. Ausmus, who had his opponent covered, made the call and the cards were tabled.

Ren Lin: AJ
Jeremy Ausmus: Q4

“What are you doing, Jeremy?” Lin said with a hearty laugh.

“Club draw,” Ausmus jokingly said as he pointed to the back door draw.

The flush, though, never came as the dealer placed 6 on the turn and 6 on the river.

Katz Jumps to the Lead After Cooler

Niveau 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz and Andrew Robl were heads-up in a three-bet pot which got inflated so much that it turned into the largest pot of the tournament thus far. Picking up the action on the river with the board reading 101027J, the pot already had over 2,500,000 in the middle.

Katz jammed all in for 2,225,000 on the river and Robl quickly called off his stack of 2,025,000. Katz turned over 98 for a backdoor straight after flopping a flush draw while Robl was left stunned with A10. Robl was sent to the rail just shy of the money while Katz is now the runaway chip leader.

Niveau 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ben Heath’s all-in move on the button put John Kincaid, who was in the small blind, in the blender.

Kincaid had Heath covered but used two bank chips before making the call. The big blind quickly folded and the cards were tabled.

Ben Heath: A7
John Kincaid: 88

The dealer ran out K53, which gave no help to Heath. The 6 on the turn and 7 on the river sent Heath to the rail

Kincaid Doubles, Schwartz Does Not

Niveau 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ben Heath raised it up on the button and John Kincaid jammed all in for 530,000 in the small blind. Heath asked for a rough count and then called to put Kincaid at risk.

John Kincaid: KQ
Ben Heath: J9

The board ran out A6337 and Kincaid's king-high was enough to double through Heath.

At another table, Noah Schwartz also shipped all in for 405,000 from under the gun and Kristen Foxen reshoved all in for 2,135,000 in the hijack. Chris Hunichen asked for a count on the button but opted to fold as did the blinds.

Schwartz turned over J6 but was in trouble against the AJ of Foxen. There was no help for Schwartz on the 1092Q3 runout and Foxen collected the chips.
