Among the notable players still in contention include Lithuanian player Vladas Tamasauskas (685,000), Austrian Samuel Mullur (618,000), Kenny Hallaert (239,000), and Barry Greenstein (145,000).

Many well-known players failed to navigate their way to Day 2, including Ryan Riess, Benjamin Rolle, Samy Boujmala, Bart Lybaert, Maria Konnikova, Perry Friedman, and Chris Da-Silva.

Play resumes on June 26 at 10:00 a.m. local time, with the money bubble looming, and play down to 15 players or 17 levels, whichever comes first. There will be 15-minute breaks every three levels and a dinner break after Level 26 (around 4:30 p.m.).

The players will come back on Level 18, which means blinds are 6,000/12,000 with a 12,000 big blind ante.

Stay tuned as the PokerNews live reporting team will bring you all of the action throughout the day.

Action folded to the big blind who opted to go all in for over 100,000. The player in late position folded and Greenstein was at risk and headed to a runout with the big blind.

The flop came 3K3, essentially flopping the pocket jacks of the big blind dead.

The turn came the Q making it official before the dealer put the inconsequential 8 out on the river, securing over a triple up for Greenstein as the last level of play for the day gets ready to begin.

Allen Kessler 'Chainsaw'

As he moved from a recently broken table to his new seat at a new table, Allen Kessler noticed that the button placement would put him in the big blind his very first hand at the table.

Other players might not rush to their seat when they notice from a few tables away that they will be forced into the big blind immediately, but not Allen Kessler.

He rushed to his seat, paid his blinds, then got folded to on the button and shoved for around 40,000 and was met with an immediate re-shove from the small blind.

The big blind folded and set up a runout with Kessler's tournament at risk.
