Picking up the action on the draw, Chris Vitch from under the gun had Erik Seidel in the big blind all in and at risk.
Seidel stood pat while Vitch chose to take one after which Seidel tabled Jx10x8x7x5x. Vitch was unable to outdraw his opponent, handing Seidel a full double to keep the nine time bracelet winner in contention.

Riess checked his cards and counted out a bet of 9,000. Zolotow tanked briefly, seemingly torn between calling and folding before eventually landing on a fold and sending the pot to Riess.
Dario Sammartino opened to 7,000 from middle position and received calls from Matt Vengrin in the cutoff as well as Michael Noori in the small blind.
Noori took two and Vengrin one while Sammartino chose to stand pat. Action then checked around with Sammartino showing down Jx10x8x7x3x for a winner to scoop the pot.
Mike Matusow opened to 7,500 from under the gun and was called by Christopher Claassen in the big blind.
Both players took one card after which Claassen checked to Matusow. He led out for 25,000, sending Claassen into the tank. Eventually Claassen decided on a fold to send the pot to Matusow.
Galen Hall raised to 8,000 and was called by Joao Vieira in late position.
The rest of the table folded and both players drew one.
Both players checked through to showdown and Hall turned up J♣8♥6♣4♣3♥, getting a quick fold from Vieira before the dealer pushed Hall the pot.
Action folded to Billy Baxter on the button who raised to 7,000. Phil Ivey called from the big blind, taking both players to the draw.
Ivey drew two while Baxter drew only one.
Both players checked through to showdown and Baxter turned up 10♠9♦5♣3♠2♣ which got a quick fold from Ivey before the dealer pushed the pot in Baxter's direction.
