Paul Tedeschi opened for 1,300 from late position and was called by a player in the cutoff. The button then three-bet to 3,600, forcing the blinds out but getting calls from Tedeschi and the late-position player.
Action checked to the button on a flop of 9♦6♦8♣ and he continued for 12,000. Tedeschi made the call while the late position player, after some thought, got out of the way.
The J♥ turn saw Tedeschi lead out, first attempting to move all in before being told the maximum he could bet was 36,100. That left Tedeschi with only a few chips behind but his opponent just called rather than getting it all in.
Tedeschi did move the remainder of his stack into the middle after the J♠ river completed the board. Despite the small amount needed to make the call, the button player decided he could not be winning and mucked to hand Tedeschi a near double-up.

Another big blind check followed the A♦ river, where Negreanu fired 3,500 to take down the pot after the big blind mucked.

On the latest PokerNews Podcast episode, Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen continue The Chad & Jesse Poker Show straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
They are joined by none other than Daniel Negreanu, who took a break from his busy summer schedule to talk about a plethora of topics including what it’s been like running deep in the lower buy-in, big field events, interacting with fans, and how he feels about his performance thus far.
Negreanu also offers his thoughts on the Poker Hall of Fame, including who he thinks will get in and the changes he’d like to see moving forward. Finally, “Kid Poker” offers his prediction for the 2023 WSOP Main Event, which is also the first big topic discussed by the hosts.
Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”
Jeff Madsen and Julien Martini were heads up after the 7♣Q♣4♦ flop with about 5,000 chips in the middle.
Both players checked the 8♣ turn, with the action on Martini in the big blind after the 10♥ river.
Martini slid out a bet of 8,400, producing a fold from Madsen to take down the pot.

Picking up the action on the flop, Josh Arieh in the big blind was involved in a hand with a player in the small blind and middle position as well as Lee Armstrong in the cutoff. With the board reading 9♣10♠Q♠ action checked to Arieh and he moved all in for his last 5,300. The middle position player called only to see Armstrong move all in for 47,000. That got the small blind and middle position players to get out of the way, putting Arieh officially at risk.
Josh Arieh: A♥Q♥4♥3♥
Lee Armstrong: K♦Q♣J♠9♥
Arieh was drawing very thin against his opponent's flopped straight with no possibility for a split pot and had already left his seat before the board ran out 6♦5♣ to confirm his exit only a few minutes after entering.

A player opened to 1,200 on the button and was called by Jake Schwartz in the big blind.
Both players checked through the 10♣Q♣4♥ flop and 7♠ turn to the Q♦ river at which point Schwartz tossed out a bet of 2,000. His opponent appeared to make what was a crying call and mucked after Schwartz announced "aces" while tabling A♦A♥9♠9♦.

John Esposito limped from middle position before a player in late position raised to 2,000. Robert Campbell called on the button with Esposito also making the call to send action three-way to the flop.
All three players checked through the 4♠7♥K♠ flop to the 2♥ turn at which point Esposito led out for 3,000. Both of his opponents made the call.
The 6♠ river saw Esposito slow down, checking to the late position player who fired off 4,000. That forced Campbell out of the hand but Esposito quickly called and showed down A♥J♦10♣3♦. It was only good for a quarter of the pot, however, as the late position player held A♣6♥5♥3♣ to scoop the remaining three quarters.
