Ponakovs Bets Out Ho

Maria Ho raised to 12,000 in middle position and was called by Aleksejs Ponakovs on the button. Justin Saliba defended his big blind and the trio went to a flop of 7A3.

Ho continued for 16,000 chips, which Ponakovs called before Saliba check-folded. Ho then slowed down with a check on the 2 turn, leading Ponakovs to fire a bet of 23,000 chips.

Ho swiftly let go of her hand as her stack diminished to what she started Day 1 with.

Rheem Eliminates Petrangelo

On a K5410 board, Chino Rheem bet 40,000 and Nick Petrangelo called on the button.

The turn was the 6 and Rheem bet 120,000. Petrangelo used a time bank and raised to 139,000 leaving himself 1,000 behind.

Rheem promptly went all in and Petrangelo flicked in his final chip.

Lichtenberger Makes a Flush

Arriving on a turn of 4K2A, Andrew Lichtenberger checked from the small blind to Martin Kabrhel in the big blind. Kabrhel then made a bet of 19,000 in the pot of 100,000 and Lichtenberger called.

On the 9 river, both players checked. Lichtenberger showed 109 for a rivered flush, much to the amusement of Kabrhel, who likened his opponent to Matt Damon.

Chance Kornuth was also spotted at this table, playing slightly less than a starting stack.

Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between Maria Ho in the big blind and another player in the small blind.

With a board reading 59108 and the small blind bet 7,000, which saw Ho respond by raising to 22,000 and the small blind called.

On the river 2, the small blind checked over to Ho who put in a bet of 58,000, leaving just 1,000 behind.

Her opponent called and then mucked when he saw Ho's J7 for a straight and she raked in a near double up.

Kabrhel Hands Over Chips

Martin Kabrhel was in a hand on A878 and both he and an opponent put in 18,000.

The river was the 5 and his opponent used a time bank before betting 27,000.

"How much?" Kabrhel asked the dealer. "And he used one time bank? Very weak. If you used two I would fold."

Instead, Kabrhel called and was shown 108 for trips. He handed over the chips and gestured to Daniel Negreanu who sat to his immediate left.

"Daniel always bringing me bad luck," said Kabrhel.
