It was truly a special day at the 2024 World Series of Poker, where Event #50: $10,000 Razz Championship has concluded play for the day at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Just 12 players remain from 54 at the start of the day. Leading at the conclusion of Day 2 is Brandon Shack-Harris with 1,554,000 in chips.
Shack-Harris already has two WSOP bracelets to his name, having won the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event in 2014 before taking down the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Championship in 2016. The Chicago native is fresh off a second-place finish in the $1,500 Razz event earlier this week and looks a solid bet to claim his third piece of WSOP hardware in this event.

As expected from a high-stakes specialist event, the surviving players read like a who's who of the poker world. Including Shack-Harris, seven of the remaining 12 are WSOP champions and each has won multiple bracelets. Among them is the legendary Phil Ivey (215,000), who won his 11th bracelet earlier this week to close the gap on Phil Hellmuth.
Ivey's fellow Hall of Famer Daniel Negreanu, a six-time bracelet winner, also progressed, albeit with the second-shortest stack of the surviving players.
Others through to the business end of this Championship event include $25K Fantasy Draft picks Ren Lin, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Hal Rotholz, Robert Campbell, John Racener, and Brian Yoon.
The likes of George Alexander and mixed-game online phenom Denis Strebkov are in the top ten and always a threat.
Players played a full eight levels today, so the remaining runners will return on June 21 at 1 p.m. local time to the Horseshoe Event Center on Level 18 with betting limits at 20,000/40,000. The prize pool for this event, which had 118 entrants, is $1,097,400, with the returning players fighting it out for the juicy first-place payout of $282,433 and a gold bracelet.
