Affleck Doubles and Rappaport Busts

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Eric Rappaport
Eric Rappaport

Matt Affleck was in the hijack and moved all in for 425,000. Eric Rappaport was in the big blind and called with 465,000 total.

Affleck tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Rappaport showed {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {k-Spades} and Affleck hit trips to win the pot and leave Rappaport extremely short.

In the next hand Aharon Shabtay was on the button and limped in. Rappaport was in the small blind and moved all in for 35,000 total. Harvey Alegado checked his option in the big blind.

Alegado and Shabtay checked all the way through and the board read {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {j-Hearts} when the players turned over their hands.

Shabtay showed {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a pair of jacks, Alegado mucked and Rappaport tabled {q-}{2-} for bottom pair, which wasn't enough to keep him in the tournament.

Arkadiy Tsinis Still in the Hunt for Back-to-Back Final Tables

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Action folded around to Arkadiy Tsinis on the button and he fired out a raise worth 400,000, with 70,000 behind. Alexander Farahi was in the small blind and called. Farahi slid forward a bet of 300,000 in the dark, clearly putting Tsinis to a decision for his remaining 70,000 chips.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Tsinis called, tabling {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a straight draw. He was dominated by Farahi's {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and was at risk. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and the river was the {8-Clubs}, completing Tsinis' straight.

Tsinis made the final table of the 2016 Millionaire Maker and finished in sixth place for over $210,000. He is still very much in the hunt for another shot at the title.

Yockey's Ace-Queen Holds

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Bryce Yockey was down to last 675,000 and he put them in the contest at the right time. Yockey held {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, dominating Ralph Perry's {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The flop {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} brought some chop opportunities for Perry, and the {K-Diamonds} on the turn even increased the chances for a split as any four, seven, king, or ace would result in a tie. On top of that, Perry could still scoop the pot, should he hit a ten on the river.

Neither of Perry's favorable cards appeared on the river, though, as the {J-Diamonds} played according to Yockey's notes.

Perry, however, still keeps rolling with 3,500,000.

Lynch tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Sammer showed {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds} and Sammer came up short after flopping a flush draw with two live cards.

Bryan Piccioli

Bryan Piccioli was all in for about 490,000 and was called by Jonathan Gray.

Piccioli was at risk with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, while Gray held {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Piccioli needed to hit an ace to stay alive. The turn was the {9-Clubs}, giving him some more outs to survive. The river was the {q-Clubs} and Piccioli hit the rail.

Two Versus Forty

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The 2017 World Series of Poker is yet to decorate a female individual event bracelet winner but what if the first would also become a millionaire?

The chances aren't particularly high at the moment, with Jessica Dawley and Lisa Hamilton left as the only two females in contention. That makes it twenty-to-one for odds based on occupied chairs.

Dawley and Hamilton are sitting on the same table, trying to spin up their shallow stacks. However, they both have some respectable results to their names, and they certainly can't be left without attention.

Forty men still block their way toward the elusive gold, though.

Gazlay Doubles Through Lynch

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Mstr Lynch was in the hijack and raised to 70,000. Brayden Gazlay defended his big blind.

The flop was {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Gazlay checked. Lynch fired out a bet of 60,000 and Gazlay moved all in for 345,000. Lynch called putting Gazlay at risk.

Gazlay showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Lynch tabled {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} giving Lynch a flush draw but the river bricked off with the {k-Diamonds} sending the pot to Gazlay with his pair of aces.
