Lisandro Takes from Volpe

Darren Elias raised to 1,500 from the cutoff, and Anthony Zinno called on the button. Jeff Lisandro called in the small blind before Jason Mercier three-bet to 9,600 in the big blind. That forced folds from all, while Paul Volpe was waiting to get dealt in.

Volpe's first hand saw him raise to 1,300, and Lisandro three-bet to 4,200 on the button. Once it folded back to Volpe, he called and drew one. Lisandro stood pat, and Volpe studied his opponent for some time before betting 18,000. Lisandro called after some brief consideration, and Volpe showed . Lisandro had that beat with and claimed the pot.

Hall on a Tear

After the draw, Galen Hall was facing off against Samuel Touil with just around 15,000 in the middle of the table already. Hall had a bet of 12,400 in front of him, and Touil was in the tank. He thought for just a bit before calling.

Hall turned up for an eighty-seven, and that was good enough to earn him the pot as Touil mucked.

Hall is the definitive chip leader at this point in the tournament, but seeing as this is a no-limit game, that could all change very quickly.

Wattel Gets Some Back

Mike Wattel went on a slide during the first couple levels, but he has since climbed back to starting stack.

In a pot with Majid Yahyaei, Wattel bet of 7,500 after the draw, and Yahyaei check-called. Wattel tabled an eight-six, and Yahyae showed an eight-seven as he mucked. Wattel was pushed the pot of close to 30,000 chips.

A Wheel for Hildebrand

The draw was already complete as Per Hildebrand took one card, and he bet 2,000. Frank Kassela raised to 6,000 and Hildebrand reraised to 13,000 to get called by Kassela. Hildebrand turned over for the wheel and claimed the pot. "I wish I had put in more preflop, it was just a small raise," Hildebrand added.

One hand later, Kassela opened the action with a raise to 1,200 and Jared Bleznick three-bet to 5,200 in the cutoff. Alan Schein moved all in from the small blind and everyone including Kassela and Bleznick folded.

Adam Owen's raise was called by Galen Hall on the button, Alexander Schwartz in the small blind, and Nick Schulman in the big blind. Hall drew two cards, while the other players all drew one.

There was no betting thereafter, and Schwartz announced a pair. Schulman was about to table his cards when Owen announced a ten and showed to scoop the pot.
