Schwartz and Monnette Double

Niveau 2 : 200/400, 100 ante

The cards of Bernard Lee were already in the muck while John Monnette stacked up the chips for a double, his {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} still exposed at the table. As a result, Lee dropped down to a short stack, and Monnette joined the bigger stacks.

One table over, the draw was already done, and Alexander Schwartz check-raised all in for 12,700. Nick Schulman eventually called and Schwartz showed {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}. That was good, as Schulman only had a {10-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}.

Niveau 2 : 200/400, 100 ante
Mike Gorodinsky
Mike Gorodinsky

Mike Gorodinsky opened with a raise to 1,200. Action folded to James Chen and he three-bet to 3,800. Gorodinsky called the raise.

Chen stood pat while Gorodinsky took one. Chen checked. Gorodinsky put out a bet of 8,300. Chen went deep into the tank, staring very intently at Gorodinsky, trying to get any sign of a tell. But Gorodinsky just sat quiet, hardly moving.

Eventually, Chen decided on a call. Gorodinsky turned up {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for an eighty-six, and that was good enough to take the pot as Chen mucked.

Mercier Takes Two

Niveau 2 : 200/400, 100 ante

Darren Elias bet 5,200 and Jeff Lisandro called to muck when Elias showed {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}.

One hand later, Anthony Zinno raised to 1,000 and Jason Mercier called in the small blind. Both drew one card each and checked. Mercier won the pot with a {9-}{8-}{6-}{3-}{2-}.

Last but not least, Darren Elias raised to 1,200 and Mercier called on the button. Philip Sternheimer mucked and his cards were accidentally exposed, showing an {A-}{K-}{Q-} high. Marvin Karlins in the big blind called and drew two, both Elias and Mercier drew one.

Karlins checked, Elias bet 2,700 and Mercier called while Karlins folded. "I have a ten-nine," Elias announced and Mercier replied, "That's no good," and showed {10-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{2-}.
