Abe Mosseri Eliminates Ian Johns

Niveau 4 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Ian Johns, who won two bracelets at the 2016 World Series of Poker in addition to his first from 2006, won't add another one in the $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship.

Johns was knocked out by Abe Mosseri, who had a ten-six. Johns had a sweat with one new card to turn over to stay in the tournament, but he was not delivered what he wished for.

No Bracelet for Alex Luneau

Niveau 4 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Terry Jennings from earlier in the Series
Terry Jennings from earlier in the Series

After some furious betting action pre-draw, Alex Luneau, Terry Jennings, and Joshua Mountain found themselves involved in a capped pot.

After the pre-draw betting, Mountain took two, Jennings took one, and Luneau took one as well. Mountain checked to Jennings. Jennings bet. Luneau raised. Mountain folded, and Jennings called.

On the second draw, both players stood pat, then checked. They stood pat again on the third draw, and Jennings led with a bet. Luneau thought a while, then called. Jennings showed {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, and that was good to take the pot.

"Nice hand from the self-proclaimed best ace-to-five player in the world," Abe Mosseri said after the hand.

"Now, I don't know if I'd say I was the best, but I'm certainly up there," Jennings said. "I have five gold bracelets."

"Wow," Mosseri said. "You have five World Series of Poker bracelets?"

"No no," Jennings continued. "Not World Series. Here let me just show you."

Jennings then produced a bag full of gold- and silver- plated bracelets from his pocket and explained that if he is beaten in a certain game, then he gives the bracelets out to the victors — after he engraves them, of course.

"Shaun Deeb has one," Jennings said. "I remember that."

Unfortunately for Luneau, he lost the hand and didn't earn a Terry Jennings bracelet. Not only that, Luneau is still looking for his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet, as well, so he'll have to keep trying if he wants to win either.

"Oh Yes, Oh Yes"

Niveau 4 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Terry Jennings limped from the small blind, and Abe Mosseri raised from the big. Jennings called, and they carried on to the first draw, where Jennings changed three and Mosseri two.

Jennings check-called another bet and then discarded one. "Oh my god," Mosseri observed troubles. He drew one, too, and the betting round repeated — Jennings let Mosseri bet and then called. "Oh yes, oh yes," Mosseri changed his mood.

The third draw saw Jennings change one again, while Mosseri patted. This time, however, Jennings didn't wait and led out himself. Mosseri called, and Jennings announced a straight, rolling over his {6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Mosseri had {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} and scooped the pot.

Brandon Shack-Harris Has "No Business Being in This Hand"

Niveau 4 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Eric Kurtzman raised and was reraised by Brandon Shack-Harris. Eric Kurtzman then put in another reraise.

"Oh, come on, Eric!" Shack-Harris said, then called.

Shack-Harris took two, and Kurtzman stood pat.

Shack-Harris checked, and Kurtzman bet. "I'm going to punish you for drawing pairs," Kurtzman said. "You have no business being in this hand."

Shack-Harris called. Shack-Harris drew one on the second draw, while Kurtzman stood pat again. After a check, Kurtzman bet again, and Shack-Harris called. Both players stood pat on the last draw. Shack-Harris checked, then Kurtzman bet again.

"Come on, Eric. Be sensible," Shack-Harris said. Eventually, he decided on a call.

"Seven-six," Kurtzman said, showing {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. That was good enough to earn him the pot, as Shack-Harris mucked.

Jon Turner Triples Up

Niveau 4 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Jon Turner
Jon Turner

Shaun Deeb raised and received two calls, as Jon Turner came along from the button and John Monnette from the big blind.

All players drew two, and Monnette and Deeb let Turner bet. They both called and drew two again, while Turner changed only one this time.

Turner bet again in position, earning a call from Monnette, but Deeb woke up with a check-raise. Turned announced he was all in, making it 600 more than Deeb's bet. Monnette and Deeb both paid the extra.

Monnette took one on the last draw, while Deeb and Turner both patted. The side pot action went check-check.

Turner showed {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{3-}, and neither Deeb nor Monnette could beat it. Monnette tabled pair of sevens, and Deeb only flashed his ten-six for the blink of an eye. Monnette didn't see Deeb's hand and suggested to the floor staff that the dealers should remind the players about tabling their hands when a player is all in.

Gregorich Pats but Folds

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Tommy Hang battled with Mark Gregorich in a heads-up pot. Gregorich was out of position and took two on the first draw. Hand drew one.

Gregorich checked, and when Hang continued with a bet, Gregorich check-raised. Hang called, and they continued to the second draw.

Gregorich patted, betting immediately. Hang drew one and then raised. Gregorich called.

Both players stood pat, and Gregorich slowed down with a check. Hang, however, bet once more. Gregorich looked at his cards and shuffled them several times. Then, he let this hand go.
