Jaka Reclaims the Lead

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

On the river of a {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} board, Faraz Jake fired a bet of 69,000 into what looked to be about 100,000 pot. Jaka was heads up with Matthew Leecy and Leecy was in the tank.

Several minutes went by and, eventually, Leecy asked for the clock. The floor gave him 30 seconds to act and, as the clock struck three seconds left, Leecy announced "call."

Jaka tabled {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for a rivered full house and Leecy mucked.

Adam Owen Doubles Through Matthew Parry

Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Matthew Parry min-raised from under the gun and Adam Owen jammed from the small blind. Parry called to put Owen at risk and the two players tabled their hands.

Parry: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Owen: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

Owen was in bad shape and needed help from the deck in order to double up. The {K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop kept Parry in front, but Owen spiked a set on the {6-Clubs} turn to take the lead. The {K-Clubs} river meant Owen would scoop the pot with sixes full of kings to double up.

The Check-Raise That Never Was

Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Jeffery Trudeau raised to 5,200 from the button, Doug Polk called from the big blind, and then checked in the dark.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Trudeau checked behind.

The {Q-Spades} fell on the turn and Polk bet 7,300. Trudeau called.

The river brought the {4-Hearts} and both players checked.

"Four," Polk declared before Trudeau flipped over {A-Spades}{9-Spades} for a pair of aces. Polk indicated that he had {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and had hoped to check-raise the flop.

"It was gonna be a check-raise, but normally there has to be a bet first," quipped Polk.

Jacobson Doubles Through Mandavia

Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We didn't catch the action until the river but Martin Jacobson checked a {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} board and Ankush Mandavia moved all in. Jacobson snap-called and tabled {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Mandavia revealed {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and his cards went into the muck.

Jacobson's all-in was for 35,900 and, after that pot, was sitting back around 127,000.

Thomas Paul Gets a Fold

Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With a huge pile of chips already in the middle on a completed board of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Zhaoxing Wang checked to Thomas Paul and he bet 100,000, which was enough to put Wang to a decision for his stack.

Wang went into the tank for over three minutes and cut out chips several times, but ultimately folded. Before Paul released his cards, Wang exclaimed "Show the bluff! Show one card, please!" Paul hesitated briefly before he tossed his cards into the muck and took the pot to put his stack over the 400,000-chip mark.

Boskovic Still Level on the Day

Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Dejan Boskovic started Day 2 second in chips but has seen his name slide down the leaderboard as the day has progressed.

Boskovic took down a recent pot against Patrick Mahoney in order to get himself back in the black for today. Boskovic three-bet Mahoney's open to 13,500 from the small blind and Mahoney called on the button.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Boskovic continued with a bet of 21,000. Mahoney folded.

Bernardo Dias Doubles Through Martin Mathis

Niveau 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With about 50,000 chips in the middle on a board of {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Martin Mathis bet 40,000 which was enough to put his lone opponent, Bernardo Dias, to a decision for his whole stack.

Dias went into the tank briefly, but didn't take too long to commit his remaining chips.

"Ten high," announced Mathis as he flipped over {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Dias quickly tabled {A-Clubs}{4-Spades} for aces up and took the pot to double.
