Maria Ho
Maria Ho

A player in early position opened to 400, and Maria Ho called in middle position as did the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}. It was checked to Ho who bet 700. The player in the big blind then raised to 2,000. The player in early position folded, and Ho stuck around with a call.

The turn came the {2-Diamonds}. The player in the big blind led for 4,000 this time, and Ho called once more.

The {10-Hearts} river completed the board and Ho's opponent checked. Ho moved all in with the 6,550 she had left. Her opponent went deep into the tank before making the call.

Ho tabled {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a full house. Her opponent sent his hand to the muck, and Ho won the pot.

Chance Kornuth Doing Work

Niveau 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

The player under the gun opened to 400, then Chance Kornuth called from middle position. Both blinds called as well, and the flop came {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

The player in the small blind bet 850. The big blind three-bet to 2,000, causing the player under the gun to fold. Kornuth tank-called the reraise, and the small blind also stuck around with a call.

The turn came the {7-Diamonds} and was checked around. The {5-Hearts} river then completed the board and it was checked to Kornuth who bet 4,500. His opponents folded.

''That's about the worst turn card in the history of turn cards,'' commented the player in the big blind.

''You can't fold a straight to this man,'' responded one of his tablemates.

''I'm glad I didn't shove that flop, I thought about it,'' added the player in the big blind.
