Lisandro Chopped Up and Out

Niveau 17 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Jeff Lisandro
Jeff Lisandro

Omaha Hi-Lo

Jeff Lisandro got all his money in preflop and was at risk against three players. Everyone checked the {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop, bringing a {3-Spades} turn. Lawrence Fujii bet and got a call from Steven Loube. On the {2-Spades} river, Fujii check-called a bet. Loube announced a flush, prompting Lisandro to muck. Loube showed {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and Fujii took the low with {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a live seven.

Stoller Survives in Multi-Way Pot

Niveau 17 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

With a pile of chips in the middle preflop, Barry Greenstein bet a {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop and got called in three spots, including Adam Stoller on his left. On the {q-Clubs} turn, Greenstein bet again, and Stoller put his last 10,000 in. Ryan Paluf in the big blind was the only caller this time. Both players checked the {10-Clubs} river.

Greenstein showed {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Spades} for kings and nines. Paluf had a set of nines and took the side pot, but Stoller dragged the much, much larger main with {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for the nut straight.

John Sorgen Rivers a Wheel

Niveau 17 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Matt Grapenthien raised from early position and John Sorgen called on the button. Steven Loube called from the small blind and checked the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop.

Grapenthien and Sorgen also checked. The turn was the {j-Spades} and all three players checked. The river was the {4-Spades} and the action checked to Sorgen who quickly bet. Loube called and Grapenthien called after a few seconds of deliberation.

Sorgen showed a wheel with {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-}{3-} and Loube showed pocket jacks for a set, before he mucked his hand. Grapenthien folded and Sorgen won the hand.

"Better Luck Next Time"

Niveau 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Mike Ross: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs} / {x-}
Chad Eveslage: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades} / {x-}

Mike Ross completed on the {5-Clubs} and Chad Eveslage raised with the {4-Clubs}. Ross called. Both hit good on fourth and Ross bet. Eveslage called. Eveslage took the lead on fifth when he paired his four. He bet. Ross called.

He bet sixth and Ross called. Both players checked on seventh and they would chop when Ross took the high with a pair of sevens and Eveslage pulled a low with a pair of fours.

"You on suicide watch?" Ross asked Eveslage.

"I had you dead to rights," Eveslage responded.

"I had sevens, a seven draw, and clubs," Ross said.

"Well," said Eveslage, "better luck next time."

The two laughed and fist bumped as they stacked all the chips they put in the pot.

Stoller Gets There on "Scratch"

Niveau 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Thao "Scratch" Thiem got his remaining chips in on fifth street with {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}/{8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} for trip eights against Adam Stoller, who had {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}/{9-}{a-Spades}{6-Spades}. Thiem's board ran out empty with {7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, but Stoller picked up additional outs with the {a-Clubs}. He turned over a {6-Hearts} river to make sixes full and bust Scratch.
