Sam Grafton was eliminated in 31st place yesterday in Day 1E and has just been eliminated in exactly the same position after his King-Jack suited failed to outrun the tens of Leonardo Romeo, with the Jack-Ten suited of David Urban, who knocked him out on his first bullet, along for the ride.
He still has just under 45 minutes to enter Day 1H should he so wish.
Sam Grafton moved all in for 24,000 and Leonardo Romeo called.
Sam Grafton:
Leonardo Romeo:
The flop came giving Grafton a straight. The turn was the and the river the handing Grafton the double up.
Meanwhile on a board, Barny Boatman had bet 20,000 into a pot of around 50,000. His opponent thought for a while before calling. Boatman turned over for the nut flush and took down the pot.
There have been a flurry of eliminations from THE COLOSSUS including third-place finisher in Event #2: €550 Pot-Limit Omaha Georgios Zisimopoulos as well as Stanislav Koleno, who suffered that brutal bad beat on the direct money bubble.
There was an all-in and a call at Barny Boatman's table, and he was up against Belgian Cheng-Wei Yin.
Barny Boatman:
Cheng-Wei Yin:
The board ran out and despite the dealer waggling Yin's Ace of diamonds on the turn, the river was a blank and Boatman's Ace-high was good enough to take down the pot and eliminate his opponent.
Gaetano Moreci was all in pre-flop with Erik Sens and Roland Israelashvili battling it out.
However the other two checked down the board and both Sens and Israelashvili turned over Jack-King. All that was left was for Moreci to show and take down the pot.
