The first of the last two flights of Event #5: THE COLOSSUS ended today with 70 players making it through to Day 2 tomorrow, Wednesday, November 1st. After more than 9 hours of play, Nebojsa Ankucic took the chip lead honor for Day 1i with 525,500 chips. Bouwmans Shot Up

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

In the last hand of the day, Bjorn Bouwmans eliminated another player for a pot which could possibly have shot him up in the chip counts, all the way to the top.

Bjorn Bouwmans was all in and called by his opponent.

Bjorn Bouwmans: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{Q-Spades} - a set of queens for Bouwmans and he eliminated his opponent. He now has one of the bigger or maybe even the biggest stack of all the players aking it through to Day 2 via Day 1i.

The bust-outs have been coming fast and furiously after the bubble burst. It seems things have calmed down now and there are some new people to get to know:

Mihai Hanu just won an all in with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} against {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} on a {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} board and he doubled up for the 90,500 he had in front of him.
