At the beginning of Level 17 play ended for Day 1D of Event #5: THE COLOSSUS with 11 players advancing to Day 2 on Wednesday. Konstantinos Misailidis takes the honour of being the chip leader of Day 1D with 419,000 chips.
Misailidis’ biggest cash up till now was worth €18,280 for a tournament he won in Bulgaria in 2016. He will be looking to improve that result here in THE COLOSSUS. Second in chips is Rene Berube with 366,500 who has been very active all evening, he had several clashes with Michal Mrakes with Berube coming out on top in the end. Brandon Cantu finished third in chips with 283,500. He eliminated several players including Kristen Bicknell and Fabian Gumz.
Other notables making it through to Day 2 are Marcel Luske (184,500) and Kevin MacPhee (134,000). Unfortunately, not everyone was lucky enough to make it through, players like Chris Ferguson, Ryan Hughes, Georgios Zisimopoulos, Fabrice Soulier, Roberto Romanello and many others.

Konstantinos Misailidis raised to 11,000 from the under-the-gun position and action was folded to Andreas Losche in the small blind who shoved for about 130,000. Misailidis called.

Rifat Gegic was eliminated by Marcel Luske when he ran his king-nine into the kings of Luske. The flop came six-eight-ten which gave Gegic a straight draw. The turn brought them a nine with now gave Gegic a pair of nines and even more outs. But he bricked the river and left the table.

Michal Mrakes walked away from the tournament area and Rene Berube said that Mrakes raised to 10,000 from the button and Berube three-bet to 35,000 from the big blind. Mrakes called.

, Berue bet 26,000 and Mrakes called. The turn was a three and now Berube bet 36,000, Mrakes shoved and Berube snap-called with the bigger stack. Mrakes had ace-eight but Berube had ace-jack for quad jacks.

Viktor Schweizer just eliminated Bastian Galitzendorfef from the tournament when his
