Foxen Slipping Back

Niveau 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After working his way up to 400,000 chips earlier, Alex Foxen has taken a hit and now sits with just over ten big blinds. He and Kenny Hallaert are the only two players remaining that were in contention for the Player of the Year race. Making the final table in such a large event could go a long way to winning the title for 2017.

It's a long way to go to reach the final table still but both players surely have their eyes set on returning tomorrow for Day 3.

Sivinov on a Heater

Niveau 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ivaylo Sivinov has been building up a stack in the past hour and he is showing no signs of slowing down, not even when it comes to Maria Zijthof. On a board reading {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, there was already around 200,000 in the middle and the action was on Zijthof in the cutoff. She checked and Sivinov bet 105,000 on the button. Zijthof made the call and the {q-Hearts} completed the board.

Zijthof checked again and Sivinov sat in thought for nearly two minutes before the clock was called. Before the tournament staff could reach the table, Sivinov announced all-in. Zijthof counted out her remaining 262,000 chips before knuckling the table and tossing her cards away. Sivinov was pushed another pot as he closes in on the seven-figure mark.

After his last open-shove went through, Martin Kabrhel was all in again for what appeared to be 140,000. Martin Urbanek in the small blind called and Kabrhel was in need of help.

Martin Kabrhel: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}
Martin Urbanek: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The board came {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Kabrhel was left drawing dead on the turn to join the rail.

Niveau 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After an open-raise b Sebastian Benoit and a three-bet to 118,000 by Jaroslaw Sikora in the small blind. Benoit moved all in and Sikora called for just over half of his stack.

Sebastian Benoit: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board of {J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{A-Hearts} brought no upset and Benoit doubled to an above-average stack.

Kabrhel Gets Caught Bluffing

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

With a little over 100,000 in the pot and the board reading {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Andras Matrai and Martin Kabrhel were at it again for round two. Matrai checked from late position and Kabrhel announced all-in directly to his left.

Matrai was in the tank for a few moments but eventually tossed in a chip to signify a call. Kabrhel quickly turned over {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for just king-high and Matrai showed {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for two pair. Once the chips were counted, it was Matrai with the shorter stack and called for his last 228,000. Kabrhel sent the chips into the pot and was left with just five big blinds.

"Looks Like a Cooler to Me"

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Marcel Luske
Marcel Luske

Marcel Luske was spotted standing up from his seat while Yannick Pernot raked in the chips of the Flying Dutchman. According to Luske he defended his small blind against a raise to 27,000 by Pernot and check-shoved a three-way flop of {A-}{J-}{7-} with {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for top two pair.

Pernot flipped over pocket sevens for bottom set and Luske found no help on turn and river. "Looks like a cooler to me," the Dutchman said before heading to the payout desk.
