Martin Paap
Martin Paap

Jonathan Khalifa opened to 200,000 from middle position and was called by Karl Hans in the hijack. Martin Paap was in the big blind and shipped all-in for 755,000. Khalifa moved all-in over the top and Hans was forced to fold.

Martin Paap: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Jonathan Khalifa: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The flop came {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} giving Khalifa a set and Paap was left drawing to running straight outs. The {8-Clubs} landed on the turn and the {2-Spades} completed the board, sending Paap to the rail in 16th place.

Paap Chips Up With Miracle Chop

Niveau 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Ivaylo Sivinov raised to 165,000 from under the gun and Martin Paap moved all in for 450,000 from one seat over. Makarios Avramidis called from the very next seat while Sivinov also came along. On the {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} flop, Sivinov checked and Avramidis bet 500,000 to isolate successfully.

Martin Paap: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Makarios Avramidis: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The {Q-Spades} turn seemingly sealed it and Paap already stood up from his chair, but a miracle {J-Hearts} on the river gave both players a straight on the board and Paap chopped to build his stack.

Fuchs On the Comeback

Niveau 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Florian Fuchs defended his big blind against a button raise by Matous Skorepa and check-called a bet on the {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop. Both players checked the {10-Clubs} turn and Fuchs also checked the {9-Hearts} river. Skorepa bet 325,000 and Fuchs called to see his {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the bottom end of the straight win the pot against Skorepa's bluff with {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Sivinov Jumps Into the Lead

Niveau 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Ivaylo Sivinov opened to 165,000 from early position and was called by Karl Hans in the small blind and Karel Kratochvil in the big blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and the action was checked to Sivinov who continued for 235,000. Hans folded and Kratochvil called.

The {a-Spades} hit the turn and both players checked to the {j-Hearts} on the river. Kratochvil led out for 455,000 and Sivinov eventually made the call. Kratochvil turned over {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for just a pair of sixes while Sivinov showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a flush.

Thomas Hofmann Eliminated in 17th Place (€11,414)

Thomas Hofmann

The very next hand, Thomas Hofmann moved all in for 335,000 from under the gun and Philipp Lutkemeier reshoved all in for around 475,000 from the cutoff to force out all other players behind.

Thomas Hofmann: {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Philipp Lutkemeier: {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

As soon as the flop of {J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} improved Lutkemeier, Hofmann sighed and said "of course". Neither the {7-Diamonds} turn nor the {10-Spades} river was of any help for Hofmann and he was eliminated in 17th place for €11,414.

Ankucic Doubles Through Hofmann

Niveau 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The new level had barely started when Thomas Hofmann moved all in from early position. Nebojsa Ankucic in the small blind called all in for less and Gaetan Cauchy folded in the big blind.

Nebojsa Ankucic: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Thomas Hofmann: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board of {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} gave Ankucic a straight and Hofmann was left with just over four big blinds.

Motovsky Doubles Through Fuchs

Niveau 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Roman Motovsky
Roman Motovsky

Roman Motovsky raised to 125,000 on the button and Florian Fuchs three-bet to 400,000 in the small blind, which Motovsky called. On the {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, Fuchs continued for 320,000 and Motovsky called.

After the {3-Diamonds} turn, Fuchs checked and called a bet of 500,000 by Motovsky before checking again the {9-Spades} on the river. Motovsky moved all in for 1,270,000 and Fuchs fell back into his chair. "Are you really bluffing here? I think I gonna call," the Austrian said.

He spent the next two minutes in the think tank and the clock was called on him. "Really? It was two minutes and we are on the last 17," Fuchs said. The half a minute of consideration was enforced soon after and Fuchs tossed in a chip for the call with five seconds remaining.

Motovsky rolled over {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a full house, jacks over nines, and a disgusted Fuchs mucked {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} to lose half of his stack.

Small Pot for Khalifa

Niveau 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Jonathan Khalifa raised to 140,000 and picked up two callers in Ruben Garcia Blancas from the small blind and Ivaylo Sivinov in the big blind. The flop of {Q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} was checked to Khalifa, and the bet of 210,000 by the Frenchman was called only by Garcia Blancas.

Both remaining players checked the {4-Spades} turn and the {10-Diamonds} river, and Garcia Blancas was first to show his {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. Khalifa had that beat with {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and bumped his stack above four million.
