Nitsche Eliminates Holz and Yong

Niveau 10 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche in a previous event
Dominik Nitsche in a previous event

Dominik Nitsche just eliminated Fedor Holz and Wai Kin Yong in two separate hands.

First, Nitsche managed to get rid of Holz when he had king-queen suited in a three-bet pot. Holz was playing pocket jacks and most of the money got in when the board was reading {Q-}{4-}{4-}{Q-}{J-}. Nitsche turned a full house and Holz ended up rivering a worse full house. Nitsche improved his stack by about two million in that hand.

A couple hands later it was Wai Kin Yong who moved all in from the cutoff for about ten big blinds with {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Nitsche called from the big blind with {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Nitsche rivered the better hand after Yong out flopped him.

Vogelsang Pushes Pollak Off

Niveau 9 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 110,000 in the cutoff and was called by Benjamin Pollak on the button and Michael Addamo in the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {4-Spades} on the turn.

Addamo checked again and Vogelsang bet 285,000. Pollak called and Addamo quickly mucked. The {9-Diamonds} landed on the river and Vogelsang fired out another bet of 550,000. Pollak went into the tank for a couple of minutes but ultimately decided to lay his hand down.

Schwippert Doubles With the Nuts

Niveau 9 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jan-Eric Schwippert opened to 115,000 from middle position and Ryan Riess three-bet to 350,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Schwippert called.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades} and both Schwippert and Riess knocked on the table to check.

The {J-Diamonds} was the turn and Schwippert checked to Riess. Riess put in 500,000 and Schwippert called.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Schwippert checked again. Riess took a couple minutes but eventually moved a big stack of 100,000 chips to the middle, covering Schwippert. Schwippert called within a second for his last 1,445,000.

Riess opened up {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, but that was no good against the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of Schwippert who had turned the nuts.

Addamo Rivers Pollak

Niveau 9 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

Benjamin Pollak raised from the under-the-gun position to130,000 and Michael Addamo three-bet from the hijack to 390,000. Pollak called after both blinds folded.

The flop fell {6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} and Pollak checked to Addamo. Addamo, who won the €25,000 Super High Roller last night, bet 450,000 and Pollak called the bet.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and both players checked this time.

When the {K-Clubs} river card was dealt it was the Frenchman Pollak who took over the lead. He put in a chunky bet of 1,160,000 and Addamo disappeared in the tank.

Addamo ended up calling and Pollak showed {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Addamo had {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and rivered a pair of kings to beat the French player.

Martin Kabrhel sat down at the table in the middle of the hand and joins the field about 75 minutes before the end of the day.
