Strobel Back to Starting Stack After Near Triple Up

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

Julien Hernandez raised to 800 in middle position and Adrian Strobel shipped all in for 8,700 on the button. Andrea Ricci also pushed all in for 5,300 in the big blind and Hernandez called, covering both players.

Adrian Strobel: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Julien Hernandez: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Andrea Ricci: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The dealer fanned the flop of {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Strobel flopped a straight to take a stranglehold on the hand. The {6-Hearts} on the turn and the {2-Clubs} on the river gave Strobel a near triple up and Ricci was eliminated.

Negreanu Enjoying the Moment

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 400 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

It's not often that you will find Daniel Negreanu playing a multi-day €500 buy-in tournament, but due to the WSOP Player of the Year implications, Negreanu is fighting tooth and nail in this tournament. He is, however, giving the best experience to those at his table as they appear to be in constant laughter.

Negreanu raised to 1,000 in the cutoff and was called by the small blind. Idan One three-bet to 5,100 in the big blind and only Negreanu called. The flop came {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {7-Spades} on the turn.

"I needed clubs," Negreanu announced. "Not one club out there."

One tossed in another bet of 5,100 and Negreanu obliged to see the {k-Spades} on the turn. One checked this time and Negreanu moved all in for 13,700. "I like that card. Time to push all of it."

One deliberated for a moment but decided to lay his hand down. "Show the bluff!" he shouted.

Negreanu whipped over {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for nine-high and the table went into another frenzy.

Kubis Beats Aces and Kings for the Double Elimination

Niveau 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

The dealer spread a {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, in which Gavriel Allah was already all in preflop for a relatively small main pot, against Pavel Berka and Marian Kubis. Berka bet 8,300 on the flop and Kubis called.

The {6-Spades} came on the turn and Berka announced all in with Kubis snap-calling with an unbeatable hand.

Gavriel Allah: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Pavel Berka: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Marian Kubis: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Both Kubis' opponents were drawing dead and the {q-Diamonds} on the river was just the epilogue of their run today.

Kaseroni Can See the Future

Niveau 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Diego Pedersen opened to 1,100 in middle position and was called by Rico Kaseroni in the hijack. Alexei Chernin three-bet to 4,300 on the button and both Pedersen and Kaseroni called. The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {5-Hearts} on the turn.

Pedersen led out for 8,000 this time and Kaseroni min-raised to 16,000. Chernin quickly folded and Pedersen stuck around to see the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Pedersen checked and Kaseroni counted out a bet of 17,000. Pedersen looked him up and Kaseroni showed {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a rivered full house.

Valent Turns a Straight

Niveau 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Picking up the action on the flop of {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, four players were still in the hand. The action checked to Zoran Ilicic in the cutoff who bet 3,800 into a pot of around 5,000. Flavio Decataldo called on the button, Vladimir Valent called in the small blind, and Shaun Deeb got out of the way.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {7-Clubs} on the river. Valent led out for 6,200 which Ilicic called. Decataldo also gave it some thought but decided to fold. Valent tabled {10-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a ten-high straight and Ilicic couldn't beat it.

Fichtner's Kicker Plays Against Stumpf

Niveau 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

The board was {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Ewald Fichtner had announced all in for 28,300. Frank Stumpf was his opponent and he tanked for a bit, then called.

Ewald Fichtner: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Frank Stumpf: {9-Spades}{6-Spades}

They both had a pair of nine but Fichtner's kicker was better, with the {4-Spades} on the river locking the pot for Fichtner.
