From Kings to the Rockets

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Christoph Peper is enjoying a nice run lately, since after eliminating Aviv Tzarum with kings versus ace-king, he just ran with aces against Guy Dadon's kings.

Peper had {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and three-bet to 265,000 right on the left of Guy Dadon, who had raised under the gun to 100,000. Dadon tanked for a long time until the clock was called on him but he finally shoved with his {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}, only to get snap-called by Peper.

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Dadon was already drawing dead since the turn.

Snejberg and Afllalo Depart

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Josef Snejberg
Josef Snejberg

Josef Snejberg three-bet jammed a stack of fewer than 10 big blinds with ace-jack and was called by Walter Pflueger with ace-queen to end up second-best.

Soon after it was Lior Afllalo that headed to the rail from a different table.

Afllalo open-shoved for 360,000 out of the small blind and Eran Cohen tank-called with {a-Spades}{5-Hearts} in the big blind. Afllalo was caught with the {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the board came {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} to leave Afllalo drawing dead on the turn.

Three Down the Drain

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Simon Burns
Simon Burns

Simon Burns, Hussam Abdel Aziz and Darkhan Rakhymzhanov have all been sent to the rail in quick succession.

Rakhymzhanov was the first to fall when he got it in with {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} against the {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Lukas Zaskodny and saw the board run out {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Soon after, Aziz came up short with {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts} against Pasquale Braco and his {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} on a board of {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Last but not least, Burns was in the small blind and the big blind sat out, his cards were dead.

"The button jammed and he can jam any two there," Burns said in table chat and called the push of Daniel Salner with king-queen. Salner had ace-jack suited and despite a king on the flop it was all over for Burns when an ace came on the river.

Mamane Cracks Aces to Double Up

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Sergii Karpov opened to 75,000 in the hijack and Prosper Mamane three-bet shoved all in for 225,000 in the small blind. Pierre Neuville thought for a brief moment but folded and Karpov instantly called.

Prosper Marmane: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Sergii Karpov: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The flop of {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} gave Marmane a flush draw and a dash of hope. The {j-Diamonds} on the turn gave Marmane even more outs with a straight draw as well. The {3-Clubs} landed on the river and Marmane made his flush in order to double up.

Heder Wins Big Pot; Felts Ceska

Niveau 26 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jan Ceska was already all-in and awaited his fate as Markus Luehring and Mick Heder were playing for a bigger side pot.

Luehring bet the {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds} river for 175,000 and Heder moved all in. The clock was called on Luhering after he was in the tank for more than three minutes and he eventually folded.

Heder tabled the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Ceska hit the rail with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for inferior two pair.

Deeb Runs Over Mendyka

Niveau 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jessica Mendyka opened to 120,000 in the hijack and Shaun Deeb three-bet shoved all in from the cutoff. The action folded back to Mendyka who quickly called off her stack of just over 800,000.

Shaun Deeb: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Jessica Mendyka: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The flop of {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} provided not much help for Deeb as Mendyka looked sure of a double up. However, the {k-Diamonds} on the turn gave Deeb a flush draw, his straight not being any good. The {3-Diamonds} hit the river and Deeb ran out a flush to eliminate Mendyka.
