Welcome back to continued PokerNews coverage of the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event from King's Resort, Czech Republic.

So far over the two starting flights, the tournament has attracted 581 entries, with 376 players advancing to Day 2. Each Day 1 saw seven levels of play, and with late registration and single re-entry open until the end of Level 12, expect the field to grow even further.

The Day 2 chip leader is Daniel Rezaei who bagged the Day 1a chip lead and is the only palyer with over 600,000 in chips.

Three other players bagged over 500,000 including bracelet-winner Ole Schemion, along with Mario Colavita and Day 1b chip leader Moncef Karoui. Karoui is the only player from Day 1b who has a top-10 stack heading into Day 2.

On the river of a board {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, Narcis Nedelcu checked his option out of the big blind. Anthony Amsellem bet 55,000 only for Nedelcu to check-raise to 150,000 total.

Amsellem sunk back in his chair almost immediately and went into the tank. Some one and a half minutes later he made the call and Nedelcu rolled over the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for kings full of jacks. Amsellem shook his head and exposed the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for broadway to take a big blow to his stack.

River Saves Vogelsang

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Jessical Teusl opened to 5,000 in early position with action folding to Sergiu Covrig in the small blind. He three-bet to 15,000 and then called the 53,000 jam from Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind.

Christoph Vogelsang: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Sergiu Covrig: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Covrig, who was in a precarious position to start the day, had built up a comfortable six-figure stack by this time and was on the verge of knocking out the #19 ranked player on the All time Money List.

Vogelsang picked up some flush outs on the {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop but found no help on the {2-Spades} turn. The dealer dropped the {6-Hearts} on the river to give the at risk player a much needed double.
