Mateos Flushes Out Di Nicola

Niveau 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ermanno Di Nicola opened to 17,000 from the hijack and Adrian Mateos made the call on the button. Robert Bickley then defended his big blind to see the 25J flop.

Bickley checked to Di Nicola, who continued for 34,000. Mateos called while Bickley got out of the way. Both players then checked the 3 turn.

Di Nicola led out for 80,000 on the Q river and Mateos took some time before raising enough to put his opponent all in. Now it was Di Nicola's turn in the tank, and he eventually decided on a call.

Mateos announced "flush" as he showed his 54, while Di Nicola tabled KK to end his run just before break.

Stephen Chidwick got it in post flop with 77 for a set on the 87510A and held on to the double through Thore-Fabian Kunze, who held an overpair on the flop and turn with the JJ but missed to dispatch the dangerous Brit.

At the same time one table over, Felipe Ketzer raised to 16,000 and Marius Gicovanu three-bet to 55,000. Ketzer pushed all-in and Gicovanu beat him into the pot.

There was no help for Ketzer on the J8824 runout and both stacks were counted. Ketzer's 332,000 were covered by the 363,000 of Gicovanu and the Brazilian was knocked out.

Dvoress Wins Heizmann's Trophy; Suriano Tanks Into Break

Niveau 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Adel Boulhadid raised to 17,000 under the gun before Daniel Dvoress three-bet to 120,000 in middle position. Stefan Heizmann then moved all in for 211,000 and Boulhadid tanked for a moment before folding. Dvoress also considered the decision for a minute but he called to put Heizmann at risk.

Stefan Heizmann: 1010
Daniel Dvoress: AK

The other players at the table expressed shock at the strength of Dvoress' hand after he took so long to call. Heizmann stood up from his seat and watched as the AJ6 flop gave Dvoress top pair.

The board ran out A6 and Dvoress finished with a full house to send Heizmann to the rail.

At the same time on another table, Davide Suriano and Keneshka Kabir were heads-up on a board of 1057AK when Suriano bet 27,000 from middle position.

Kabir then raised to 100,000 in the cutoff, sending Suriano deep into the tank. Several minutes elapsed into break as Suriano continued to think about the decision.

"Ace-ten," he asked Kabir.

"No. All I want is a drink, so two minutes is enough," Kabir replied. Suriano eventually called and Kabir turned over K10 for two pair. Suriano angrily flung his cards away as the start-of-day chip leader took the pot.

The 2023 World Series of Poker Europe is in full flow, with proceedings for the record-breaking €10,350 Main Event currently underway at King's Resort in Rozvadov.

And while there's been some immense tournament poker on display already, there's been plenty of exciting action in the cash game streets here at King's. Yesterday's cash game livestream featured some huge names such as Martin Kabrhel, Johan "YoH ViraL" Guilbert, Rob Yong, Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier and casino owner Leon Tsoukernik.

One of the biggest pots of the night was played between Guilbert and Kabrhel where the latter found an ace on two boards to scoop in the massive pot.

Raoul Refos
Raoul Refos

Raoul Refos was all-in preflop for the last 176,000 with the dominated AQ, as Akin Tuna looked him up with the superior AK.

The fortune changed on the Q43 flop when Refos made the top pair and nut flush draw. Tuna picked up some chop outs with the 2 turn but the 9 river only improved Refos to the nut flush.
