The dealer flipped over the 10♥ and Lee went over to embrace Alioto with a hug before going to celebrate his new gold WSOP bracelet with his rail, including defending champion Anson Tsang.

Alioto, more than 15 years after his lone WSOP bracelet, had to settle for a runner-up finish this time.

Just before the blinds went up, Pavel Izotov raised the pot to 85,000 from under the gun. Barny Boatman called from one seat over and so did Gab Yong Kim in the big blind.

The flop came 10♦9♣2♦ and it checked to Boatman, who bet the pot for 290,000 with 270,000 behind. Kim carefully studied his stack and folded, Izotov also folded.

The blinds went up in the next hand and Izotov was forced all-in from the big blind.

Boatman limped in and Namhyung Kim potted, forcing out Boatman.

"Fair enough," Boatman grinned when he saw Kim's hand before adding "you are in trouble now, I had a king".

All remaining nine players are on a short break ahead of the redraw for the unofficial final table.

Smuskovics then continued for 100,000 and Pansier raised to 680,000. Smuskovics moved all in and Pansier called for his last 65,000, creating a massive pot with nearly 2,000,000 in the middle.

Pansier showed down a flopped set, while Smuskovics had a pair of kings as well as a straight draw. The turn came the 6♣ and Pansier could only smile and shake his head as Smuskovics picked up even more outs with a flush draw.

The 3♣ fell on the river and Smuskovics completed his flush to send Pansier crashing out of the tournament in 11th place.

The action on the outer table commenced with a raise to 75,000 by Salih Atac in the cutoff and he received a call by Namhyung Kim in the big blind.

The Q♦7♠4♠ flop saw Kim check and Stac bet 50,000. What followed was the pot-sized check-raise by Kim and Atac called all-in for around 275,000.

"That is very bad for me," Atac said with a dry smile on his face as he had a mountain to climb. An inferior pair and dominated flush draw was up against top pair, open-ended straight draw and better flush draw.

Nothing changed with the A♥ turn and K♣ river, sending Atac to the rail in 12th place for €4,937.
