Traian Stanciu and Serhii Karpus went to the turn with the board showing 7♦3♥5♣7♣ when Stanciu bet 11,500 from middle position. Karpus called in the hijack.
The river was the 10♠ and Stanciu bet another 15,000. Karpus called once more and Stanciu turned over 8♥8♠. Karpus, though, had K♣K♦ as he took the pot.
There were over 20,000 chips in the pot on a board of 8♣Q♠8♥K♦ when both Wing Po Liu and Dimitrios Anastasakis checked.
The river brought a 10♣ and Liu shoved, which gave Anastasakis a decision for his remaining stack of around 25,000. After thinking it over, Anastasakis decided to risk his tournament life.
Liu flipped J♥9♥ for a rivered straight, and Anastasakis tabled K♥Q♣ for top two pair, then vacated his seat at the table.
With about 9,500 in the pot and the board displaying 9♦Q♠4♦J♣6♦, Fabian Bartuschk took the lead with a bet of 7,000, which Petr Satek quickly called. Satek revealed 9♣9♠ for a set of nines, while Bartuschk showed 10♦2♦ for a flush.
Matei Lupascu made it 2,200 from under the gun then Frank Schmueser three-bet to 5,200 from middle position. Frederik Thiemer was in the hijack and four-bet to 10,500, and George Tomescu made a cold five-bet to 20,000 on the button.
Despite the preflop aggression, no more excitement was added to the hand as Lupascu, Schmueser, and Thiemer all folded fairly quickly.
Heads-up on a flop of K♦A♦6♠, Nicolae Mihai bet 6,000 from the cutoff and Ib Poulsen called in the hijack.
The turn was the 9♦ and Mihai bet another 11,000. Poulsen again called to see the 3♣ river, where Mihai bet 16,000. Poulsen quickly folded this time.
At another table, Ilija Savevski and Flaviano Cammisuli built a pot of around 25,000 as they saw a flop of Q♥2♥Q♠. Cammisuli then bet 5,000 from the small blind and Savevski called on the button.
Both players checked the 3♣ turn and the 4♠ fell on the river. Cammisuli bet another 36,000 and Savevski quickly folded.
Kristen Foxen recently took her seat in the tournament to the left of Mihai.
With two players seeing a board of 4♣3♠8♠10♠ and around 5,000 in the middle Alex Foxen bet 4,800 from the small blind and Omar Eljach called from middle position.
On the J♦ river Foxen fired another barrel for 12,000. Eljach made the call.
Foxen could only show a missed gutshot with 7♣6♣ while Eljach had top pair with K♦J♠ to take the pot.
