Niko Koop Eliminated in 27th Place ($62,857)

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Niko Koop
Niko Koop

Isaac Kempton opened to 60,000 from the hijack and Niko Koop three-bet shoved a stack of about 300,000 from the cutoff. Joao Simao then re-shoved from the small blind and Kempton folded to get the hand heads-up.

Niko Koop: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Joao Simao: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip headed to the flop of {3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, which gave Simao a full house to make it anything but. The runout of {j-Clubs}{k-Spades} didn't change things and Koop was eliminated in 27th place for $62,857.

Kade Jams on Dowdy

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Vanessa Kade
Vanessa Kade

Shaun Deeb opened the hijack to 60,000, David Dowdy called the button, and Vanessa Kade three-bet to 300,000 in the big blind. Deeb folded and Dowdy called.

The dealer spread the {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and Kade led for 280,000. Dowdy raised to 560,000, leaving himself about 500,000 behind. Kade thought about it and moved all-in, causing Dowdy to lay down his hand. Kade smiled and seemed to breathe a sigh of relief as she took the sizable pot without a showdown.

"Don't make those faces if you're not gonna show," Deeb said, although Kade seemed content to add the chips to her stack without revealing the contents of her hand, as she goes over the 3 million mark.

Katie Lindsay Eliminated in 26th Place ($62,857)

Katie Lindsay
Katie Lindsay

The previous action is unknown, but on a board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Katie Lindsay got the rest of her chips in from the small blind against Ian Matakis in the big blind.

Katie Lindsay: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Ian Matakis: {6-Spades}{5-Spades}

Lindsay was ahead with her aces but had a lot of outs to fade, and unfortunately for her, the {j-Spades} completed the board to improve Matakis to a flush and send Lindsay to the payout desk in 26th place for $62,857.

Livingston Makes 'Sick Call' for Tournament Life

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Alex Livingston
Alex Livingston

Alex Livingston faced a decision for his tournament life in a heads-up pot against Ian Matakis on a board of {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts} with around 600,000 in the middle.

Livingston had less than that and faced an all-in bet from Matakis, who had him covered. Livingston entered the tank and eventually made the call.

Matakis tabled a bluff with {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Livingston showed {a-Spades}{2-Clubs} for bottom pair to win the pot and stay alive.

"Sick call!" exclaimed Roland Shen from a few seats over before giving Livingston a fist-bump.

Matakis Shoves on Lee

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With roughly 400,000 in the pot on a {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} completed board, Ian Matakis moved in all his chips from early position and Neng Lee went into the tank in middle position. Lee had approximately 580,000 chips behind, and eventually decided to fold his hand to concede the pot to Matakis.

Perry Finds Fortunate Double

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Sean Perry
Sean Perry

Sean Perry got his stack of 800,000 in from the small blind and was at risk against Joao Simao in middle position.

Sean Perry: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Joao Simao: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Perry was in rough shape as the dealer spread the {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, until the {q-Spades} hit the turn. The {6-Clubs} completed the board to confirm his unlikely double.

"Did I win?" Perry asked as the dealer sent him his new chips.

Perry has now come close to elimination at least twice today, including on one of the first hands of the day where he spiked a three-outer on the river to stay alive, and he now holds close to the average stack of nearly 60 big blinds.

Matakis Pulls the Trigger

Sylvain Loosli opened to 60,000 on the button and Ian Matakis three-bet to 240,000 from the small blind. Loosli made the call.

Matakis continued with a bet of 265,000 on the flop of {5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Loosli called. Matakis fired again for 325,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn and his opponent again called.

Matakis unloaded the clip on the {7-Spades} river by moving all-in with Loosli covered. Loosli tanked for a few minutes before laying it down and holding on to his remaining 1,000,000 in chips.
