Buck21 a d'abord remporté le tournoi #14 High, un Omaha Hi/Lo No Limit à 2100$ disputé en 6-Max et sous le format Zoom. Buchanan y a glané 82 160$ avant de récidiver sur le tournoi #24 Medium, un High Roller 8-Max à 2100$ sur lequel il a encaissé 270 125$ pour sa victoire.
Sur les autres épreuves, le Chilien Nick "chilenocl" Yunis PokerStars en battant les 215 autres participants du SCOOP-12-H: $2,100 NL Hold'em [6-Max, Shootout] pour 95 040$. Il avait remporté un titre SCOOP lors de l'édition précédente. De son côté, Jason Mercier a longtemps cru pouvoir gagner deux titres dans la même soirée, dans la nuit de mercredi à jeudi.
Le Floridien a du se contenter de deux deep-runs en mousse qui lui ont rapporté tout de même quelques dollars. Le joueur US se focalise sur les événements à venir et se réjouit d'enchaîner les Jour 2. La récompense ne devrait pas tarder à tomber...
