Daniel Tang (pictured) and Anthony Chimkovitch clashed in what may turn out to be an important pot in the context of the table they currently share and the tournament overall.
We joined the action with a complete board of and a pot of around 125,000. Tang faced a bet from Chimkovitch of 49,000 and was in what looked be an uncomfortable tank.
"I knew I shouldn't have checked back." aid Tang, obviously referring to a previous street. But, agonised, Tang made the call. He was shown by Chimkovitch, and slammed 49,000 down onto the table in disgust with himself.
"I never should have checked back!" he muttered to himself as he departed the table, down to 511,000 at the final break of the day. Chimkovitch has 1.4million chips and has been in and around the chip lead all day.

Simon Lofberg, who had previously doubled through Sam Chartier, has become the next chip millionaire. On the same table, Nuno Capucho, who had been stalling on the bubble one day ago, is on the best way to get there too, while Kimmo Kurko and Sam Chartier were sent to the rail in consecutive hands.
Hand 1
First, Lofberg raised from early position and Kurko shoved from the button with his below-average stack, Lofberg called.

Jake Cody (pictured) has just been eliminated from the EPT Main Event here in Barcelona and he suffered the beat at the hands of November Niner Vojtech Ruzicka. As Jake moved to the rail, he told us about the hand.
"He opened in the cut-off and I shoved for twenty big blinds with Ace-Nine on the button. He had and held."
Cody may be out but Ruzicka has a serious chance to add to winnings he knows are coming in November by running deep here in Spain. He now has 510,000 to work with, marginally over the average with 120 players left.

Michael Howard raised to 18,000 under the gun. In the next seat, Thomas de Rooij three-bet to 56,000. It got folded around to Kestutis Gecevicius in the big blind, who cut out a four-bet to 115,000.
Howard, unfazed by all the previous aggression, five-bet shoved all in for 240,000. De Rooij took quite a while before folding, Gecevicius, who had just 125,000 more to call, sighed before committing the extra chips.

Kestutis Gecevicius:
The flop brought some tension with as Gecevicius picked up a flush draw, but the hearts stayed in the deck on the turn and river to give the Irishman a much needed double-up.
