Day 4 Finished

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The remaining 24 players bagged up and will return tomorrow at 12 p.m. local time. All chip counts and a recap of today's action will be available shortly.

Alexandru Baron fait tomber Damien Luis

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Damien Luis
Damien Luis

Hand 1

It folded to Damien Luis in the small blind who raises to 110,000. Alexandru Baron was in the big blind and three-bet to 300,000. Luis thought before four-betting to 650,000. The action was back on Baron who five-bet all in and Luis called.

Damien Luis: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Alexandru Baron: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Luis was left with around 300,000 in chips.

Hand 2

In the very next hand, Damien Luis open shoved from the button for his remaining chips. Alexandru Baron called in the small blind and action was on Adam Owen in the big blind. He asked how much the all in was for and after a couple of minutes elected to fold. The cards were turned over, with Luis holding {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Baron {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Meanwhile, Owen had shot to his feet and was shaking his head.

"Sevens?" asked Baron as the board began to be dealt, "Ace-Queen?" It seemed like the focus was on what Owen folded more than what the board was going to run out.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, and although the {j-Clubs} on the turn meant that Luis was open-ended, the river was the {5-Diamonds} meaning the Frenchman was eliminated.

Andreas Chalkadiakis and Anthony Chimkovitch Meet Twice

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

On the three-way flop of {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Andreas Chalkiadakis checked in the big blind and Anthony Chimkovitch bt 115,000. The third player in the hand folded and Chalkiadakis called. The {K-Hearts} on the turn saw Chalkiadakis check, Chimkovitch bet 275,000 and the Greek folded.

Soon after, the two were in a battle of the blinds and Chalkiadakis bet the {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop for 105,000. Chimkovitch called in the big blind and the {7-Hearts} turn went check, check. After the {5-Hearts} river, Chalkiadakis bet 415,000 and Chimkovitch called to see the former turn over {K-Spades}{7-Clubs} and the latter muck.

Sebastian Malec Calls Ace on the River to Bust Aram Sargsyan

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Sebastian Malec raised to 90,000 from under the gun and Aram Sargsyan moved all in for 515,000. Malek eventually called and the cards were tabled.

Sargsyan: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Malek: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

"The way I run, the ace comes on the river," Malec said in table chat. The flop came {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} and the {7-Diamonds} was a blank as well, but as predicted by Malec, the {A-Hearts} appeared on the river and Sargsyan exited in 26th place.

Koukouris was busted in 27th place when he decided to move all in over the top of Owen's 90'000 opening bet. Koukouris' move all in was for a huge 870,000 with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and Owen made the call with {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} .

The board of {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} saw Koukouris depart and Owen leap to a Day 4 high stack of well over two million chips.

Jose Quintas Busts to Morten Mortensen

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Jose Quintas
Jose Quintas

It had been rather quiet with regards to Jose Quintas as of lately and his stack had plummeted a lot. When Morten Mortensen raised to 90,000 from early position, Quintas shoved the big blind for 560,000 and Mortensen called.

Quintas: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Mortensen: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} gave Quintas top pair, but Mortensen had a set. It was all over for the Portuguese on the {3-Hearts} turn, and he grabbed his belongings while the {6-Clubs} appeared on the river.

Chebli Chebli Busts on the Feature Table

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Stefan Vogt raised to 90,000 from the hijack and Chebli Cheli shoved for 270,000 from the cutoff. All opponents folded and Vogt called.

Chebli: {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Vogt: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The {Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop paired up Vogt, and the {A-Clubs} turn left Chebli drawing dead. An insignificant {K-Hearts} river completed the board and Chebli was eliminated in 28th place.
