Il a fallu une journée de poker de plus de 13 heures pour tenir les 6 derniers survivants du PokerStars & Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final Saison 12.
La sortie d'Antoine Saout alors qu'il restait une demi heure à jouer sur le niveau 50 000-100 000 (10.000) a sonné la fin provisoire de la partie qui sera à suivre vendredi à partir de 14 heures. Le Breton encaisse 128 340€ pour son superbe parcours sur un field de 1098 joueurs.
Les 6 survivants sont assurés de repartir avec 170 950€ mais c'est le premier prix de 961 800€ qui fait frémir nos trois tricolores encore en lice. 50% des finalistes sont Français alors qu'ils ne représentaient que 17% du champs des engagés au départ. Adrien Allain, Jimmy Guerrero et Pierre Calamusa tenteront donc de succéder à Jean Montury, dernier vainqueur bleu-blanc-rouge sur le circuit European Poker Tour.

Adrien Allain et Jimmy Guerrero sont largement détachés en tête du classement. Adrien a repris la tête du classement en éliminant Antoine, il débutera la finale en position de chipleader avec 118 blindes. Jimmy aura de quoi développer son jeu avec plus de 100 blindes lui aussi. Chacun de ses joueurs possède plus de jetons que le quatuor de short stacks.

Qualifié sur un Spin & Go, le Kazakh Asan Umarov n'a pas démérité mais reste probablement le moins bon des survivants sur le jeu post-flop. Enfin, Oren Rosen a peu d'expérience en live mais il a remporté un SCOOP sur le .com et réalisé quelques Tables finales sur les plus beaux tournois de la grille PokerStars.

La journée avait donc commencé avec 28 joueurs. Vanessa Selbst a vite rendu les armes (26e) avant que Paul-François Tedeschi ne l'imite (25e). Après un début de journée compliquée, Benjamin Pollak s'est fait craquer les 
pour terminer 24e.
Le Portugais Joao Vieira en profitait pour prendre la tête et l’écrémage continuait. Alors que Pierre Calamusa entamait une superbe journée, Erwann Pecheux se retrouvait card dead. Le Team Pro PMU termine finalement 18e pour 37 330€. Ariel Celestino et Andy Andrejevic l'ont suivi dans le rail, la dernière femme en course les imitant juste derrière.
La Française Thi Xoa Nguyen finit 13e pour un gain de 47 980€, elle a filé directement dans le public pour soutenir Jimmy Guerrero dont le momentum s'amorçait.
Joao Vieira voyait sa courbe de performance décliner pour finalement prendre la sortie en 13e position, victime de Jan Bendik puis de Guerrero qui le termine avec 
contre . Le Tchèque va ensuite offrir la tête du classement à Jimmy avec une couleur bien rentabilisée par le régulier parisien. Entre temps, Thiness va aussi faire brelan dans un pot 3-bet pour se charger du Français Mohamed Assaini qu'il croise souvent au Cercle Clichy (11e).
Après la sortie d'Enver Abduraimov en 10e position, Jimmy aborde la dernière réunification de la partie avec presque 9 millions. Deuxième du classement, Adrien Allain pointe lui à 5,6 millions. Ben Philipps va perdre un flip pour sauter en 9e place pour 71 620€ avant que Dario Sammartino ne soit victime d'un coup du sort.
L'Italie aime cet EPT Grand Final. Il a terminé 17e en 2015 et 19e en 2013 et s'incline cette fois en 8e position après avoir perdu un 70-30 préflop contre Umarov. Un adversaire dangereux de moins pour le trio français... et l'assurance d'un gain à 6 chiffres.
