From first position, Eugene Katchalov raised all in for 67,000 and everybody got out of the way besides Dmitry Yurasov.

The chip leader quickly called and the cards were opened.

Eugene Katchalov: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Dmitry Yurasov: {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Katchalov needed to hit to survive but he couldn't connect to the {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} board.

Staszko déstacké

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Martin Staszko
Martin Staszko

It was folded all the way to Martin Staszko on the cutoff. He moved all in for 93,000 in total on the button, Xixiang Luo asked for a count.

He threw in the calling chips and Mats Karlsson folded his small blind. From the big blind, Viatcheslav Ortynskiy called all in for slightly less than Staszko, 89,000 in total.

Martin Staszko: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Xixiang Luo: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Viatcheslav Ortynskiy: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Ortynskiy dominated both of his opponents and was looking to triple up. The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} and he was back in the hunt for the title.

Luo took another hit, while Staszko was left with only 4,000 behind.

In the next hand, the former November Niner went all in and on the button, Mats Karlsson raised to 16,000. The blind got out of the way and cards were tabled.

It was {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for Staszko against Karlsson's {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. The flop was {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Karlsson made a pair of sevens, but Staszko had a straight draw.

Neither the {Q-Diamonds} turn or the {2-Spades} river completed that draw and Staszko was eliminated from the tournament.

Pas de doublé pour Montury

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Jean Montury
Jean Montury

EPT11 Malta champion Jean Montury just busted from this years Main Event. For most of the day he was riding the short stack but managed to grind his way up from time to time.

That grind came to an end when he busted to the hands of Aliaksei Boika.

It was Guillaume Valle that opened the pot with a raise to 15,000 and Bastian Dohler called. Montury shove all in for 64,000 and it was Boika who made a four-bet to 115,000. Everybody got out of the way and the cards were tabled.

Jean Montury: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Aliaksei Boika: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Montury was in big trouble against Boika's queens and needed an ace or another escape route.

The {8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} flop wasn't any help for the former champion and when the {8-Spades} hit on the turn he was down to the aces as outs.

The river wasn't an ace, it was the {7-Hearts} and Montury was sent packing.

Jensen tanke plus de 10 minutes

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Gianfranco Visalli
Gianfranco Visalli

In a massive clash between Gianfranco Visalli and Frederik Jensen, the latter came out as the winner after spending nearly ten minutes in the tank.

Preflop, Visalli opened to 13,000 from under the gun. Behind him, Jensen reraised and made it 42,000. The Italian made the call, and the two of them saw an innocuous flop of {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts} appear. Visalli checked, Jensen followed up with a bet of 28,000, Visalli check-raised to 68,000 and Jensen called.

After the dealer burned and turned the {8-Clubs}, Visalli wasted no time putting Jensen to the test, and put him all in for 156,000 in a pot of close to 200,000. Jensen thought long and hard, and the clock was eventually called on the Dane.

With just seven seconds left, Jensen slammed a tower of chips into the middle and turned over {8-Spades}{6-Spades}, much to Visalli's disbelief.

"Sick call", muttered Visalli as he turned over {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, looking for one of the only two remaining sevens on the river.

It wasn't. The dealer put out the {3-Clubs}, and Frederik Jensen surged to the top of the standings with more than half a million chips.

Just two hands later, Gianfranco Visalli's remaining chips disappeared as well. Visalli got it in holding {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} on a flop of {J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}, but needed help against Xixiang Luo's {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. No help was found, as the board ran out {4-Diamonds}{A-Spades},

Visalli, who topped the leaderboard for nearly two days, is gone just like that in 47th place.

Hand 1

Alexander Debus raised to 11,000 from the button and Walter Treccarichi three-bet to 32,500 from the small blind. Alessandro Longobardi four-bet all in for 42,500 from the big blind and Debus as well as Treccarichi called.

Alessandro Longobardi: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

Huge River Bluff by Treccarichi

Niveau 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Walter Treccarichi
Walter Treccarichi

Walter Treccarichi is using the bubble play to his advantage. He just threw in a huge bluff on the river and got it through.

There was around 50,000 in the middle and the board read {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. From the big blind, Stephen Chidwick checked to Treccarichi. The Italian slid out a bet of 26,500 and after some heavy thinking, Chidwick made the call.

The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and Chidwick checked again. Treccarichi pushed out a big pile of blue 5,000-chips, enough to put Chidwick all in.

The Brit thought about it for more than five minutes but eventually folded his hand. Treccarichi tabled {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a complete bluff and that gained him a nice pot.
