L'an passé Paul Michaelis était en tête du PokerStars Championship Prague après deux jours de compétition. L'Allemand avait finalement quitté la compétition en 28e position (18.900€).
Alors que la compétition a repris son nom originel, Michaelis est en tête du Main Event PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague à 6 left. Les survivants du tournoi à 5300€ l'entrée qui a rassemblé 1174 entrants ont les yeux rivés sur le premier prix d'un million d'euros et le Platinum Pass d'une valeur de 30.000$ pour les Bahamas.
