300 joueurs ont survécu au 10 heures de jeu du Jour 1B du Main Event PokerStars EPT Prague 2018 à 5300€ de buy-in. 785 entrées (dont 109 re-entries, ndlr) ont été comptabilisées sur cette deuxième journée d'ouverture et les inscriptions sont encore ouvertes jusqu'à midi vendredi et la première donne du Jour 2. L'affluence provisoire est donc de 1156 entrants.
L'Autrichien Armin Mettea multiplié son tapis de départ par 9 pour monter le plus gros tapis de la journée. Avec 280,000 jetons, il se hisse à la deuxième place du général provisoire, derrière le patron du Jour 1A John Sarailis (297,400).
Aku Joentausta (276,600) et le Français Arthur Conan (275,000) complètent le podium du Jour 1B. Simon Pedersen (265,400) a connu une belle journée aussi, au contraire du dernier vainqueur EPT Prague (Kalidou Sow avait remporté le PSC l'an passé et a franchi le 1B avec 30000 jetons, ndlr), Jasper Meijer van Putten. Le Néerlandais a sauté tout comme le Tchèque Vojtech Ruzicka, Andy Hills, Davidi Kitai; Maria Konnikova, , Gaëlle Baumann, Ivan Deyra, Jaime Staples et Jake Cody.
Fatima Moreira de Melo (30,700) et Muskan Sethi (27,500) bougent encore au contraire de Sarah Herzali, rejointe en fin de journée dans le rail par Erwann Pecheux et Jonathan Therme. Le trio PMU ne profitera pas du passage des niveaux à 90 minutes sur ce tournoi disputé au format Big Blinde Ante.
La partie reprendra aux blindes 800/1,600 avec notamment Sylvain Loosli (162,800), Alex Papazian (113,300), Dietrich Fast (85,200), Anton Wigg (79,000) ou encore le runner-up de l'an passé, Jason Wheeler (62,500).
