On a flop of , James Romero checked out of the big blind and subsequently check-raised a bet of Benjamin Pollak to 14,000, which the Frenchman called. The fell on the turn and Romero gave it some thought before leaving for 22,000, which Pollak called once more.

Macnamara Gets Lucky Against Vogelsang

Fionn Macnamara was down to 12 big blinds and was sat in the small blind. With no action in front, he shipped against his neighbour, Christoph Vogelsang, who had him covered by a whisker. Vogelsang made the call and when the cards were turned over, the Brit needed a lot of help against the German.

Macnamara didn't have to wait long, pairing his three on the flop. Another on the turn locked it up, rendering the river irrelevant.

The chips were shipped over to Macnamara and it looked like Vogelsang was left with 5,500 but a mistake meant that Macnamara had been shortchanged and it was Vogelsang who realised first, passing over another 2,000 to his neighbor. "Very honest" commended the dealer.

The next hand Vogelsang got his last 3,500 in from the small blind after Macnamara opened the button and the big blind called as well. The was checked to the river and Vogelsang turned over , which was good for a triple up. He is still in trouble though with only 6 big blinds to play with.

Martini Wins From Sammartino in Marathon Hand

Orpen Kisacikoglu opened from late position to 4,500 and he was called by Dario Sammartino on his direct left. Small blind Julien Martini three-bet to 22,500. The player in the big blind thought about it for a moment but he let go of his hand. Kisacikoglu folded as well but Sammartino called after about a minute.

The flop fell and both players checked relatively quick. The turn was the and Martini delayed c-bet 27,500 and Sammartino went into the tank. It took him about three minutes to find a call and the river completed the board.

Martini bet 66,500 this time and Sammartino went into the tank yet again. The clock was called by Kisacikoglu after Sammartino kept staring at Martini for over four minutes. He eventually let go of his hand.

Martini showed the and told Sammartino that he had the best hand. Sammartino told him he had king-high.
