Luca Fontanel got it in for about a million and Sam Higgs called from the big blind to put him at risk.

Luca Fontanel: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Sam Higgs: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Fontanel, with the inferior pair, wasn't able to wiggle his way out of it on a {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board. With 1 minute and 20 seconds left in the final level of the day, sixteen players were left and play was halted for the night.

Mario Melis Eliminated in 18th Place (€9,100)

Mario Melis

Sylvain Mazza opened to 110,000 on the button and Mario Melis shoved for 380,000 in the small blind. Yota Mitsui called in the big blind and Mazza came along, too,

"Get ready for your triple up," Jacquelyn Scott said. The {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop and the {6-Diamonds} turn were checked. On the {10-Spades} river, Mitsui bet 650,000 and Mazza folded instantly.

Mitsui rolled over {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a full house and Melis mucked {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} to take 18th place and €9,100 for his efforts.

Stefano Schiano raised first to act and called the shove of Jonathan Bussieres for 355,000 on the button.

Jonathan Bussieres: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Stefano Schiano: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Schiano took the lead on the {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop already and proceeded to improve to a flush with the {3-Hearts} turn and {k-Hearts} river, sending Bussieres to the rail in 19th place for €9,100.

James Romero made it 110,000 to go and was called by Daniel Ghionoiu in the cutoff. Ole Schemion on the button three-bet to 400,000 and Romero gave it some consideration before pulling the trigger and moving all in. Ghionoiu quickly folded, Schemion checked his cards and called instantly right after for 2,200,000 total.

Ole Schemion: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
James Romero: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop and the {8-Spades} turn were no threat yet, however, the cruel {q-Diamonds} on the river sent Schemion to the rail in 20th place in cruel fashion.

It got folded to Bruno Caron in the small blind, who shipped it in for his last 425,000. Sylvain Mazza called it off in the big blind.

Bruno Caron: {a-}{5-}
Sylvain Mazza: {a-}{4-}

What was likely to become a split pot instead went Mazza's way as the board came down {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Hearts} to pair up Mazza. Caron was the last player to collect €7,750.

Danut Chisu

Artur Martirosian raised to 100,000 and Danut Chisu three-bet to 450,000. James Romero took a long time before four-bet jamming for 1.6 million and Martirosian quickly folded.

Chisu was sent into the think tank and after nearly three minutes he called the clock on himself. The 30 seconds ran down to almost zero and the Romanian called with the words "okay, I go home."

Danut Chisu: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
James Romero: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Romero took the lead with the {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, while the {j-Spades} turn provided an additional sweat. A meaningless {j-Diamonds} rolled off on the river and Chisu's prediction came true, as he headed to the rail in 22nd place for €7,750.

Yota Mitsui won a bigger pot off Stefano Schiano and then raised it up once more, which Marco Monello in the big blind called. Monello check-shoved the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop for around a million in chips and Mitsui called.

Marco Monello: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Yota Mitsui: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The overpair remained ahead with the {4-Diamonds} turn and {9-Clubs} river run out and Monello had to settle for 23rd place and a payday of €7,750.

Sukhorukov Flops Straight Flush, Then Busts

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Dmitrii Sukhorukov
Dmitrii Sukhorukov

Dmitrii Sukhorukov found himself all in and at risk for 440,000 with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} against the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} of Luca Fontanel. The flop? Well, it couldn't come more perfect, as the dealer spread out {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} to give the Russian a straight flush and end the hand on the spot.

The subsequent hand, after a raise to 110,000 from under the gun, Sukhorukov got it all in once more. Sylvain Mazza went over the top all in from the blinds and had Sukhorukov crushed.

Dmitrii Sukhorukov: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Sylvain Mazza: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The {9-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} board left Sukhorukov second-best and he made his way out in 25th place. Following Sukhorukov's bust, the field redrew for the final three tables.
