Steinbach gets Check-Jam Through

There was 8,400 in the middle and the flop read 9♦6♦6♣ when Frederic Steinbach checked to his opponent, Yves Thalmann.

Thalmann fired out a bet of 2,000, only to be met with a check-jam by Steinbach, who covered Thalmann.

Thalmann thought about the spot for a moment, before sending his hand into the muck.

Shabalin Knocks Out Akguc

Ismail Akguc moved all in from early position for 7,900 and Vladimir Shabalin followed suit in the next seat, earning folds from the rest of the table, with Akguc at risk.

Akguc was in trouble with a dominated ace, and the A♥K♣4♥ flop left him almost drawing dead versus Shabalin's top two pair.

The 4♠ turn and 10♣ river completed the runout, Shabalin's two pair with ace-king good versus Akguc's two pair with ace-ten.

Ticherfatine Doubles Through Vlachos
