He started the day with a big chip lead and now he finished Day 2 with an overwhelming chip lead. Shyngis Satubayev takes the Day 2 chip lead with 1,074,000 in chips which is worth a whopping 215 big blinds at the start of Day 3. Day 2 of the €4,300 Main Event of the Master Classics of Poker came to an end after six levels of 60 minutes. Day 1a and Day 1b attracted 330 entries in total, 150 of them made it through to Day 2. But as registration was open until the start, another Sixteen players entered at that time to bring the total up to 346.
This created a total prize pool of €1,370,160 with 47 players cashing this year. A min-cash will be worth €8,632 while the winner will walk away with the massive first-place prize of €260,878, the “bordje”, and all the bragging rights of course. For now, only 50 players are left in the running to walk away victorious.

Ole Schemion finished second in the chip counts and got most of his stack when he eliminated Teun Mulder when Mulder called the five-bet shove of Schemion with ace-king. Schemion held pocket jacks and those held throughout the board. Jesse Liljgren started third in chips at the start of the day and finished in the same exact spot at the end of Day 3. The top five is completed by two Dutch players, Pascal Vos and Gert Jan Albers.
Other players that might sound familiar are Hassan Sey who already won a bordje during the festival. Christopher Frank, Jonathan Abdellatif, Steve O’Dwyer, Jan Bednar, David Hu, Paul Tedesci, Paul Hoefer, Marcel Vonk, Bart Lybaert, and the shortest stack on Day 2, Sonny Franco.
Alberto Stegeman came into Day 2 ready to defend his title but he ran his last 19 big blinds into the jacks of his opponent while he held tens and got no help from the board. Ryan Riess busted on the feature table with ace-five against the jack-nine of Frederico Silva. Silva turned a pair and made a straight on the river to paint an even prettier picture. Hossein Ensan also busted at some point during the day.
Day 3 restarts at 1:30 p.m. local time on November 30 with Level 16 with a small blind of 2,500, big blind of 5,000, and a big blind ante of 5,000. Ten levels of play have been scheduled with a break after every two levels but everything is subject to change. The bubble will burst pretty soon after the restart and the PokerNews live reporting team will be there to bring you all the action as all the remaining players battle it out for their share of the prize pool.
