Welcome to Day 1b of the 2016 Winamax SISMIX Main Event
The second of three starting days of the 2016 Winamax SIXMIX Main Event at the Casino de Marrakech in sunny Morocco is scheduled to get underway in less than 30 minutes at 12:00 local time. In yesterday's first flight, 178 players joined the field with 38 survivors making it through to Day 2.
Belgium's Cheng-Wei Yin dominated the action late in the day against the mostly French field and ended the day with 307,500. Yin was clearly ahead of the field since the dinner break and never let up with his stack bouncing between 260,000 and 370,000 chips most of the time.
Many Winamax Team members were in attendance for Day 1a with many more expected today. Florian Decamps led the way among the sponsored players heading into Day 2 with 95,500 chips which was near the end of the day average.
It is expected that more players will enter in the second opening flight when compared to yesterday which should include many new players along with a many players we saw yesterday but were unable to make it to Day 2 including Winamax Team member Davidi Kitai who expressed he would be back.
Players once again will begin the day with 20,000 chips with blind levels increasing every 45 minutes providing plenty of play. Yesterday the average stack was over 50 big blinds almost the entire day with day ending with the average just dipping below this figure.
Also on today's schedule is the 1,600 MAD (€147) Total Bounty at 5:00 p.m., the 600 MAD (€55) Hit & Run SISMIX Main Event at 8:00 p.m., and the 1,500 MAD (€138) Iron Man Tournament at 9:00 p.m.

Small Delay in Start
As was the case yesterday, there will be a small delay before the start of Day 1b. We currently have about 45 entrants ready to go and we expect the tournament director to start making announcements to the players and dealers in five minutes.

The tournament director announced to the players that play would begin shortly. We are at 72 players for Day 1b already which includes 8 players that are re-entering that were elimanated on Day 1a.

After a few minutes of announcement and introductions in French, cards are now in the air after Winamax VIP and goalkeeper of the French football club Bordeaux Cédric Carrasso announced to dealers to shuffle up and deal.
While Carrasso has played online at Winamax, we can infer he doesn't have much live tournament experience due to a lack of a Hendon Mob profile page.

It will be curious to see whether the French footballs which Argentine defender Renato Civelli who plays for the football club Lille OSC,Belgian midfielder Guillaume Gillet who plays for FC Nantes, French halfback who also plays for FC Nantes Léo Dubois, French midfielder Camel Meriem who plays for the Cypriot First Division club Apollon Limassolet, French right-back Bernard Mendy who plays for East Bengal FC, and Cédric Carasso who handled the opening speech to players and dealers.

The field size is growing fast. We are up to 106 players for Day 1b, of which 19 played yesterday as well. So far the entire field remains intact. Yesterday, the first elimination took place minutes into Level 2.
Gaëlle Baumann Joins the Field

Gaëlle Baumann is best known to poker enthusiasts around the world for just missing out on becoming the first woman to reach a World Series of Poker Main Event final table when she finished in 10th place for $590,442 in 2012.
The poker pro and Team Winamax member also is very popular in her home country of France and is currently sitting in 60th place on the French All Time Money List with $878,036 in total cashes according to The Hendon Mob.
