A Champion Will Be Crowned On Day 3 of the $10,300 MILLIONS High Roller

There will be 19 players returning on Day 3 of the $10,300 MILLIONS High Roller and only one will be left standing by the day's end. They will all gather at the Melia Caribe Tropical resort in beautiful Punta Cana for the 2017 Caribbean Poker Party presented by partypoker LIVE.

Jonathan Little will be leading the charge with 15,080,000 and will be hoping the momentum he gathered towards the end of Day 2 has not disappeared. Both he and Preben Stokkan (11,210,000) from Norway pulled away from the rest of the field, being the only two players to bag over 10 million chips. The players remaining are kind of the who's who of poker with familiar faces in every direction you look. Kenny Hallaert (7,950,000), Sam Greenwood (7,780,000), Steffen Sontheimer (5,110,000), partypoker Sponsored pro, Roberto Romanello (2,100,000), and Ryan Riess (2,030,000) will all be looking to take home the title.

Along with the title, comes the first-place prize of $275,000 and the bragging rights of topping some of poker's elite players. The money bubble is on the horizon with a total of 11 places getting paid and a min-cash worth $20,000.

Follow along with the PokerNews live reporting team to find out who will be crowned the first champion at the 2017 Caribbean Poker Party Festival.

Makarov Bluffs His Way to the Rail

Niveau 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Alexandru Papazian opened to 250,000 from the cutoff and Dmitry Makarov three-bet to 600,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Papazian called to see the flop come {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

Papazian checked and Makarov continued for 500,000. Papazian made the call and the {4-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Both players checked to the {6-Diamonds} on the river and Papazian led out for 740,000. Makarov quickly pushed all in for 3.75 million and Papazian called after a couple moments. Makarov tabled {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} while Papazian showed {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a straight.

Pascal Lefrancois raised to 260,000 from under the gun and Alexandru Papazian re-raised to 780,000 from the hijack. Stephen Chidwick was in the cutoff and pushed all in for around 3.5 million. Lefrancois folded and Papazian called.

Alexandru Papazian: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Stephen Chidwick: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Papazian held on with ace-king, dominating Chidwick's ace-queen.

Stokkan Scores a Double KO

Niveau 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Roberto Romanello
Roberto Romanello

After eliminating Barry Hutter to start the day, Preben Stokkan was moved to the left of Jonathan Little as the new chip leader. A few hands later, Roberto Romanello moved all in for 1.71 million from under the gun and Michael Watson announced all in for 4.29 million directly to his left. Preben Stokkan was in the cutoff and thought for a couple of minutes before pushing all in as well.

"I hope you guys both have ace-king," Romanello said.

Preben Stokkan: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Michael Watson: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Roberto Romanello: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Romanello was in a good position to triple up with both of his opponents holding the same cards. The {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop was safe for Romanello but the {3-Clubs} on the turn provided some straight and flush draws for his opponents. The river brought the {9-Clubs} and Stokkan made the nut flush to eliminate Romanello and Watson.

Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

The action folded around to Ryan Riess in the small blind who moved all in for his short stack of 1.545 million. Kenny Hallaert was in the big blind and looked down at his cards, one at a time, and made the call.

Kenny Hallaert: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Ryan Riess: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Riess was still out front with two pair. However, the {a-Diamonds} on the turn paired Hallaert's ace and the {6-Spades} on the river sealed the deal. Riess was eliminated and the remaining 12 players are now on the money bubble.
