Lefrancois s'offre Bruel dans le pot du tournoi

Niveau 25 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Patrick Bruel
Patrick Bruel

Gruissem Busts Ivarsson; Doubles Czuczor

Niveau 25 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Soon after coming back from the break, Philipp Gruissem was involved in a three-bet pot with Alexander Ivarsson and check-called a bet on the {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop. On the {K-Diamonds} turn, Gruissem check-called a shove by Ivarsson for 9 million.

Gruissem showed the {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Ivarsson had {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. The {Q-Diamonds} on the river gave Gruissem the winning flush and Ivarsson the way to the payout desk.

Soon after Marton Czuczor three-bet all in for 7.95 million out of the small blind and Gruissem used one time bank before calling with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Czuczor had the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and held up on a board of Js5c4c8h9s].

Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Upeshka De Silva limped in with the {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} on the feature tabnle and Byron Kaverman on the button raised to 2 million with {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 6 million in the big blind with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Kaverman called.

On the flop of {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, Badziakouski bet 2.8 million and Kaverman called before the {10-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Badziakouski moved all in for 14.38 million and Kaverman used all three time bank extensions before making the call.

A blank {2-Hearts} on the river failed to improve Badziakouski and he was felted in 42nd place.

Sergey Lebedev

A day to forget for Sergey Lebedev ends with a rather frustrating 40th place finish. Having started the day third in chips, Lebedev lost plenty of three-bet pots, a big all in against Honglin Jiang and just now got his last 2.575 in from the cutoff. Jack Salter in the big blind called instantly.

Sergey Lebedev: {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Jack Salter: {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board came {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Lebedev headed to the rail.

Nitsche also Busts Konopelko

Niveau 24 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche defended his big blind and bet the {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} turn for 2.5 million. Andrei Konopelko moved all in from the cutoff for around 10 million chips and Nitsche shrugged, then called.

Andrei Konopelko: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Dominik Nitsche: {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The {3-Spades} on the river was of no help and Nitsche busted yet another opponent on his way to cement the chip lead.

Kaverman Busts Martinez

Niveau 24 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Byron Kaverman raised to 1.1 million with the {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Manuel Martinez Solsona defended his big blind with {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}, on which the Spaniard check-called a bet of 1 million. On the {6-Spades} turn, Martinez Solsona check-called another 2.7 million and left himself 10.4 million behind.

The {6-Clubs} river paired the board and Martinez Solsona check-called all in to see the bad news and bow out in 46th place.

After raising from middle position, Kenneth Smaron also called the shove of short stack Roberto Duek on the button for around eight big blinds.

Toberto Duek: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Kenneth Smaron: {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Both players flopped a pair on {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} while Smaron took the lead with the {J-Clubs} on the turn. Duek was celebrating after the {2-Spades} river before realizing that his pair of aces was no good, and then headed to the rail. "Nice playing with you," Anton Wigg said.
